  2. Can’t do this BS anymore! This is an absolutely terrible team to watch, literally, do anything other than pitch occasionally. I have two children in softball and baseball currently and don’t want to waste any more time on this team. Used to love to watch games and talk with my 9 yo son and occasionally my 17yo daughter about players and how and why they do different things. It’s impossible to teach them anything remotely constructive watching this garbage. Very sad place this team and fanbase are in right now!
  3. Great! He has the vaunted potential and his pitches kind of have movement. What good does that do when the final results are horrible? He continuously has non competitive starts. For the love of God move on. I swear we’re the only team in the league that continues to roster players well past their expiration date! Why? We have at least 3 or more pitchers, right F’n now, that I’d rather to give those starts to. Possibly the most frustrating org, ever, to be a fan of!!!!!!
  4. And I’m gonna have to listen to these goober White Sox fans now. Should be an awesome week at work.
  5. Well well, who could have foreseen Paddock being a huge turd? Any decent team with hopes of making the playoffs only starts him in an absolute emergency! He’s dog water!
  6. I don’t believe it’s “hate” at all. All it is is a recognition that he’s not a good SP. Theres a lot of hope and projection but no matter what you look at the results are just not there as a starter. Couple that with constant talk of the pitching pipeline and there’s your supposed “hate”. Twins fans want to see the young guns get the chance to run away with the job and not just hand it to a turd with a bad track record just because of $7.5 mil. Couldn’t care less about his backstory. This isn’t a TV talent show, it’s all about real life results!
  7. I disagree. We need A pitcher to fill A spot. Paddock sucks as a starter. It just is what it is. Festa, Mathews, Raya or anyone else not named Dobnak pitching in the minors has more upside and I would argue raw talent. That’s why I suggested keeping him in the pen and use as an emergency starter if we get in a tough spot. He’s just not reliably healthy or good enough to start consistently. So finally, please dear merciful Jesus, please let’s unleash the young guns and see what happens. You know that’s what everyone wants to see. Someone goes down Paddock is still here. Youngster not getting it done Paddocks still here. Need a guy to pitch 2 innings cause we can’t hit again and are getting smoked Paddocks still here. Just don’t want to see him throw the first pitch of ANY game EVER.
  8. He’s blocking one of them every time he makes a start and they’re both already more competitive than Paddock. He’s a known quantity and it’s know to be meh. They may or may not make 32 starts but how would we ever know? 20 starts per for Festa/Mathews at 5 innings per is 100 innings a piece. Plus SWR and any other higher ceiling guy in AAA to go with the top of the rotation. Throw Paddock in the BP if you refuse to eat that $/trade that $ but let HIM be the one to make spot starts and fill in when need be. Lets finally see what we have here please.
  9. Depth is cool and all and a handy buzz word for not ditching bums beyond their usefulness. But when you’re blocking a pitcher or two or three or more who has a greater potential to make competitive starts what good is that depth really? An oft injured at absolute best less than mediocre pitcher or any number of young potentially superior pitchers? Easy ass call for me!
  10. Unfortunately not sarcastic! This org always seems to have the absolute worst luck imaginable. Seems like it’s been 20+ years since a top prospect has come up and actually played multiple seasons in a row to their utmost potential. We’ve seen glimpses of amazing play but always seems to get cut short for some reason or another. But there’s always more prospects, so hope springs eternal!!!!!!
  11. Don’t know a ton about Burleson other than rostering him on my fantasy team last year. I can say that he was fantastic for weeks at a time so there’s tons of potential. Just don’t know how another LH outfielder fits on this team. But interesting!
  12. Vazquez traded to whoever will pay half his salary. Paddack traded to whoever will give us more than a bag of batting practice balls. Don’t care what anyone says we’re not winning with him in the rotation. Surprise is they give Jax a chance to start again after the success other teams have had with RP to SP conversions over the last year or so. Everything else is next man up instead of FA additions. Its cheaper that way!
