    Very nice play by Bernier. Here's the logic, as I see it. You need to sign some AAA filler every once in a while, and guys like that are handy. They will be more likely to sign if they can get a chance in the majors. The Twins need more middle infielders, and maybe it won't be Bernier, but it doesn't hurt to let him have a couple of weeks and see what they've got. If he doesn't work out, fine, they DFA him because they're going to need to clear a bunch of spots on the 40-man next year anyway. If he's better than expected, then they have a tough decision that is good news. What's the harm?

    I am so very ashamed. I was thinking of the Eraser and confused him with Bad News. An eraser is only bad news to a mistake, and I made a mistake..so is it okay again? I wish I lived on the International Date Line and this would all go away.

    Bremer just said that Gardy left the dugout because of an illness, no word on what it might have been. I'm guessing "Sick of Duensing".

    Ouch...Plouffe gets the Golden Sombrero for four Ks tonight.

    That HBP by Duensing was kind of a joke, though- the batter had a big jersey that hung out when he moved back and the ball grazed the jersey. I think the ball probably missed the actual hitter by several inches, inside but not that bad.

    Let's replace Duensing, please. Now is not too soon. -- not only did it happen, but they sent Steinbach out to pull him.

    That's a great TK comment; when the pitcher is too quick with the slide step, the pitch is up in the zone. Plus he just knocked Bremer for talking about no Indians hits a few seconds before the first Indians hit. I hate it when Bremer does that.

    No kidding, the gushing doesn't become him.

    I hope they don't make any pure salary dumps, given their low spending. If they get someone who could help, or even if they use the at-bats/innings to give experience to a young guy, that would be palatable, but I would not want to give away players just to give the team an even lower payroll.

    Great to see him having such early success. I hope he can keep it up, and fight through the inevitable tough games that happen to everyone. Sounds like a pitcher with a lot of potential.
