  1. I believe Jankowski was a 1st Rd pick.
  2. He should be in jail for use of a schedule 3 drug? No wonder we imprison such a high percentage of our population. Not everything that is illegal needs to result in jail time. Going 65 in a 55 is illegal too but should we throw all the speeders in jail?
  3. True, but they have to be on the same page, if they aren't then one has to go.
  4. I agree, just please not for a bullpen arm. Good relievers can be had every year in the off-season and cost nothing but money. I wouldn't even trade a b prospect for a reliever.
  5. The problem is that "finding holes" is not a skill. He's not as bad as he looked last year, but I don't think he'll ever hit enough line drives to be an everyday player.
  6. Disagree. Most of the time it's just really good babip luck in a very small sample size (1 game).
  7. Yep BPA early. Later rounds you target specific positions if you need balance somewhere.
  8. Was Ramos Terry or Smith? Regardless, maybe not Gordon, but it will be a legit prospect like Gonsalves or Thorpe or someone like that, a borderline top 100 guy.
  9. I love DanSan as a super utility guy. I don't think he'll hit enough to be a starter though, and he definitely shouldn't be a leadoff hitter.
  10. Obviously I'm a fan of the outcome, but baffled by the process. If this was the plan, why wasn't he in AAA in the meantime, so he'd still be close to his normal schedule instead of pitching on 11 days rest? Or at the very least, piggybacking off Milones short start? I'm worried he's going to need a couple starts to get back in a groove, and I'm not sure Mollie has much patience for him.
  11. Sorry I disagree, for 3 reasons. 1 Meyer is a guy who has had trouble repeating his delivery. Shutting him down for 10 days when it seemed he was just figuring it out is huge. 2 He's on the major league roster. So, the Twins have basically been playing with a 24 man roster. 3 He's still a legit prospect. Like Kepler and Polanco, he needs to be playing, somewhere, anywhere, not sitting on the bench every day eating sunflower seeds.
  12. We all know exactly how this is going to end. Terry Ryan is going to trade a legit prospect like nick Gordon or Steven Gonsalves for a proven closer, aka a league average reliever who happens to have experience pitching the 9th inning, it will not be a better pitcher than we could have gotten in the off-season for nothing except money.
  13. Supposedly there is grainy footage of him walking from the clubhouse to the bullpen but I can't tell if it's real or a hoax.
  14. Lol, it was almost 40 years ago. I'd say the requisite waiting period on related jokes has more than passed.
  15. Mollie only gave Kepler like 8 ABs so we actually have no idea if he's ready yet or not.
  16. Well I have never believed that a leadoff hitter needs speed, so to me Mauer is a perfect leadoff hitter. High OBP, and rarely hits HRs. I don't want my HRs wasted behind the 8 and 9 hitters, which is why I was never a fan of Dozier leading off. To me speed is pointless from your 1 and 2 hitters. Why risk stealing a base with your XBH hitters coming up? Put the speed at the bottom where you need to get creative to score. My order most days: 1B Mauer 3B Sano DH Park RF Arcia 2B Dozier LF Rosario SS Escobar or Nunez CF DanSan C Suzuki After Plouffe returns: RF Mauer 1B Sano DH Park LF Arcia 3B Plouffe 2B Dozier CF Rosario SS Escobar or Nunez C Suzuki
  17. Yes, Chih Wei Hu. A lotto type pitching prospect who has looked pretty good, and who we later traded to Tampa for Jepsen.
  18. Are people just assuming Plouffe will be back next week because that is when his 15 days are up, or has it been confirmed? Because this is usually a 4 week plus injury and typically closer to 6.
  19. Most prospects struggle in their first taste. Trout struggled mightily and had to be demoted, so I'm not sure why you are listing him. Miguel Sano was one of the best power hitters in all of baseball last year, for the 90 games he was up. And Rosario was a capable rookie too. Even Danny Santana excelled his rookie season. Most prospects struggle, some so okay, a few excel immediately. The Twins are no different than any other team in this regard. Not having Sano play OF in the minors was a poor decision. I don't understand that one.
  20. Dozier should not be benched but he should bat 6th or 7th and should get at least one or 2 games off per week. I think he'd be more effective starting 130 games per year.
  21. In what way would this encourage steroid use that the lure of 100 million dollar potential contract doesn't already?
  22. Maybe he just wants to make sure he's set up for life either way. Again, if he loses value on this, it'll be because he made more money than anyone could ever need.
