    There is only harm in that if in fact your rejection of them not wanting to mix social classes is indeed false. Since they don't allow the "unwashed masses" to fill those seats, perhaps that speaks for itself.

    If it's going to be 18 months before a vaccine is ready, they are going to have to come up with an alternative plan. Short term, locking down is a good solution. It's not sustainable to lock everyone in their homes for 18 months though.

He specifically writes this: "Every hitter’s approach needs to be neatly tailored to their skill set, and Kepler, Arráez, and Garver nicely demonstrate the flexibility of the Twins’ individual plans for their hitters these days. They don’t need to make major adjustments in the way they approach the first pitch." Aggressive does not mean they have to swing. It just means they should be ready to swing if they get a good pitch.

    Which schools? Do you have a link to that? Cancelling the next 18 months of school sounds like jumping the gun, more than just a bit.

    No, again, that's not what exploit means. Perhaps you are thinking of a different word altogether? People have a choice to buy or not buy a bottle of hand sanitizer, but it's still exploitative to sell it for $70 a bottle during a crisis.

    I believe when a suspension overlaps multiple seasons, only the first postseason is ineligible.

    Ah, the old fight fire ( Diggs wanting the hell out of an offense far too vanilla to get him the ball) with fire (making the offense even more vanilla to try to fill his shoes) strategy. I can't really blame Diggs for wanting out of this sinking ship, even though I'm generally opposed to people throwing fits to get their way.

    If they give him credit for games that everyone is missing, then how is that fair to the players who didn't get caught cheating? How is that a punishment? "Your punishment is to miss the same games that every player is missing." Huh? I just can't disagree more.

    But the only way you keep infection rates as low as your example suggests is by taking the drastic measures that you consider "panicking".

    But he wasn't suspended for a portion of the season. He was suspended for a number of games. There is no way, IMO, that they'll allow suspended games to count towards his suspension.

    Every school superintendent in MN is having a conference call today to discuss their options. I am guessing they will decide to close the schools for the remainder of the school year.

    Is there a reason you keep posting this even after a poster corrected you with a link to the data earlier? This is being treated differently than the seasonal flu because it's far more dangerous and deadly than the seasonal flu. I don't know where you heard or read that it has a lower mortality rate than the seasonal flu, but IMO it's irresponsible to not check the facts for yourself before you spread that misinformation around.

    I don't really have much problem with him venting, but I'd say he lacks self awareness if he thought he had any shot at making the roster after taking the first week and a half off to tend to personal matters.

    Yes, a lot of things kill people every day. But must people don't actively root for those things to happen so that we can benefit financially from them.

    Yeah, people die from this. But that's all worth it if it means cheaper airfare.
