  1. Yeah, I think Twins fans are in for a rude awakening on this contract. His body is seemingly a ticking time bomb at this point and the first 2 years of the contract should be the best outcomes. And we paid $12 mil per win. That's bad! And it's likely going to get worse! I am BAFFLED by the defense of the Pohlads I've seen by...anyone really. The fact that Carl's statue is able to exist without constantly getting smeared with feces is an indictment of Twins fans.
  2. You're not wrong. How you sign Correa to that contract is baffling. $200 Million dollars guaranteed for a player that failed multiple physicals just weeks prior. You're a third of the way through the contract, paid $12 Million per win, and now he's on the wrong side of 30 with $130 Million still owed to him. Even if he wanted a trade, even if the Twins wanted to move him, there aren't more than a couple teams in baseball that would even consider taking on that contract.
  3. Will need him in the bullpen after the twins trade away Duran due to his quadrupling salary next season.
  4. The team run for 40 years by nepo babies and the mustache twirling evil billionaire archetype has a bad culture... I wonder the root of the problem?
  5. No. I don't think I care to do that actually. Werido, looking at other people's reactions and demanding responses. I'd simply not lead off with a player that isn't a good hitter. But that's just me, being all judgemental of the infallible Twins Front Office and Rocco in an evening their 0.632 ops leadoff hitter went 0 for 3. Good night!
  6. He doesn't have a singular skill. You've been duped by a sample of results into believing he has skill for some reason. His career ops leading off? Right around 700, not significantly different from his career ops. Unless you believe Rocco or Popkins or whomever suddenly taught him how to hit leadoff successfully while still sucking at hitting in every other situation.
  7. Neither of us even want him on the team, yet here you are defending Rocco putting him in the leadoff spot? I'm not going to go through a full batting order when, again, you and I agree that Margot shouldn't be on the team. What's the point of me wasting my time on that nonsense?
  8. Fun Fact: The person at the top of the order should be good because they will be receiving the most plate appeances. Who should be at the top of the order? Not the guy we both agree shouldn't even be on the team.
  9. I don't care about the 100 PA sample size. He's not even that good against lefties. Something like career 0.750 ops. He's trash and only a bad manager would have him hitting leadoff in a meaningful game.
  10. Throw the Twins in the NL, they might have 99 losses too.
  11. He's a career 0.670 OPS guy. That line is a complete mirage.
  12. Is contraction still on the table?
  13. Joey Gallo gonna strike out to give the Royals a win.
  14. And the top 100 prospect we got appears to be one of those that is only valuable as a trade piece. He took a big step back and will not be appearing on that list again.
  15. With the season on life support, the big question now, will the Twins fail to produce a 70 RBI guy for the 3rd season in a row?
  16. Who could have foreseen a player with bad defense and bad stick would be bad? Falvey and co baffled.
  17. It's not like everyone that knows baseball has been calling on him to be cut since opening day. It came out of nowhere!
  18. I watched it back too, and as much as I hate the guy, not many (if any) RF are getting to that ball.
  19. Well, thankfully we have the incredible bat of Margot in the lead off spot 🙏
  20. Fans thankfully sending the message to ownership. Staying home and for good reason.
  21. Our leadoff hitter in a "must win game" has a .632 OPS and -0.9 WAR on the season. Twins His career OPS against lefties is only like .750. It's not like he's Lane Thomas with a .880/.680 L/R split. He's just barely playable against lefties. How the hell have they allowed THIS to happen? I've not hated a player as much as I've hated Margot in a long time.
  22. They sure didn't seem interested Friday.
  23. Beautiful Tuesday in Minneapolis, the Twins are a game out of playoff contention, and you can buy a ticket on the secondary market for a Fiver.
  24. In the AL, they actually do match up OK. Aside from the Astros, no one has a great top 2. Even the Yankees highly paid 1-2 punch of Cole and Rodon hasn't been that great this year. But, they have by far the advantage once you get into a 3rd or 4th starter. The potential playoff Mariners have a very good rotation as we all know, and they're breathing down the Twins necks, but again the Twins hold the tiebreaker on them. Now the NL, that's a different beast. The NL is so much better than the AL this year.
