  1. Lil Nicky Lopez is one of those players that always seems to bite the Twins in the ass.
  2. I was really surprised that Paddack almost hit 100 pitches the other night especially because the game was in hand.
  3. Yup. The division is definitely better than last year so the Twins will need to keep pace. Looking at Cleveland, not sure how they're doing it. They could stumble soon. Agreed on Buxton. He's one of those guys that when he gets it going, gives the team such a shot in the arm.
  4. If this team can be .500 and within 4-5 games of the Guardians on May 1st - after the injuries and brutal offense, I'd say things look decent going forward.
  5. I'm bullish on SWR. Something to consider - he's already been part of 3 franchises in his young career. That's not the best thing for a player's development. I'm excited to see what he can do with a legitimate opportunity.
  6. The horse's been dead for a while so I feel bad continuing to smash it, but... Popkins just doesn't have the experience to be a MLB hitting coach. Too young. Hasn't been around the game that long. And I don't think having two other hitting coaches on the staff is doing anyone any favors. Too many chefs in the kitchen.
  7. True. I'm just desperately trying to find some bright spots.
  8. The Sox suck to be sure. But their pitching isn't the reason why. The offense might be stating to click...
  9. They can't keep playing Farmer at this point. They just can't.
  10. Oof. I'd much rather have Jeffers at C and give the DH spot to either Kirilloff or Larnach. Yes, I know. An unhittable lefty pitcher awaits. But I'd still rather one of them in the lineup ahead of Vazquez.
  11. Something that struck me as strange is when Rocco said it was 'conviction' issue with Pablo. What the hell does that mean? I get the guy getting tired especially after throwing a lot of high-leverage pitches in the 4th. Maybe he wasn't trusting his stuff or something. Either way, odd word choice.
  12. I always laugh when the camera zooms in on Rocco and he's just staring into space - doesn't seem to be connected to the game at all. Not pinch running Martin immediately after the walk is further proof of that. How does it happen?
  13. This is a good point. Always interesting to me how fans will assign the 'young' or 'prospect' labels to certain players but not others. Yes, Larnach's had more big league opportunity than Wallner but not so much more so that its a closed book on Larnach - there's still upside here and he could turn into the player that he was projected to be.
  14. Nice comeback - have to sweep this series. But, yeah. Why is Marting pinch running for Santana instead of hitting for Vasquez? Makes no sense to me. A win's a win, though.
