  1. Heh. May bad. 7th, 8th, 9th.
  2. Duran's back. No word on the corresponding roster move. Can't wait for Stewart, Jax and Duran in the final frame.
  3. There's just something about Correa. He steps on the field and the Twins are instantly a better team - even if he's not hitting the ball well. His defense, leadership and intangibles are among the best in baseball. Derek Jeter-esque.
  4. Not easy to beat a team 5 straight times - within a week's timeframe. We'll see if they can push it to 6 and then 7. Not going to discredit any of these wins during the streak.
  5. Won't lie. Serious white knuckle time watching Thielbar face the righthanded batters - especially Pham.
  6. Sad to see Martin go but keeping Miranda up makes sense and having Correa back is a huge plus.
  7. I think Thielbar is washed. I know its still early, but it just looks like his stuff isn't there at all anymore. This race is going to go into September, IYAM and if Thielbar's pitching now and costing the Twins' games, they'll loom just as large when the season's over. But, between his history with the organization and standing in the clubhouse, I'd be shocked if they let him go. Never understood or liked the Jackson signing. Would have just preferred for them to give Alcala the opportunity and let him run with it. But the front office isn't likely to admit the mistake so early on in the season. And that's the same with Margot. DFA him and keep Miranda and Martin up with the big club. But again, admitting mistakes in April / May - doesn't seem to the MO of this front office. In fairness, the Twins aren't alone in holding onto vets for too long.
  8. Yeah, I'm not sure why people want to stretch out Sands. His current role is the best spot for him and most helpful to the Twins.
  9. What I'd like to see.. 1. Caleb Thielbar 2. Jay Jackson 3. Manuel Margot What will likely happen... 1. Kody Funderburk 2. Dan Bowman 3. Jose Miranda
  10. I like him too, but he seemed like a strange hire.
  11. That series against Chicago did the trick. Some good fortunes at the plate, everyone stopped pressing and they had confidence in the approach. Carried over. Great to see. And I know Thielbar is popular in the clubhouse and a great teammate but he's done as a high leverage reliever. Funderburk is a much better option at this point but I think there's some politics and sensitivity with dumping Thielbar.
  12. Really enjoy watching Ober pitch. Great mix of pitches and he executes. Twins have a good one.
  13. Lil Nicky Lopez is one of those players that always seems to bite the Twins in the ass.
  14. I was really surprised that Paddack almost hit 100 pitches the other night especially because the game was in hand.
