  1. The way I see it, the Twins' season now hinges on the arms of SWR, Festa and Varland. Who would have thought that back in March?
  2. Apparently, our old friend, Emilio Pagan had tightness in his triceps and was back in a couple of weeks. Best case scenario for Joe? Also of note, the Dodgers' pitcher that was initially diagnosed with the triceps injury actually had a rotator cuff problem so he may no be an apt comparison. Rocco's post-game presser as well as Ryan's demeanor (per the beat writers) could possibly hint at the injury not being season-ending.
  3. Correa probably out through the weekend (at least). He is going to do a rehab assignment before they activate him from the IL.
  4. Correa said he would play in some minor league games to ramp up. No word on when that will be. I'd be surprised if we see C4 much before late August. His absence looms large against Cleveland.
  5. Twins need Correa back. Twins need Ryan to somehow have avoided major injury. Rocco needs to stop sitting his best players.
  6. Agreed. Terribly deflating to lose him. The Twins put themselves in a situation where there were zero margin for error. Everyone had to stay healthy.
  7. Peter, I love the optimism but odds aren't in our favor here.
  8. So looking ahead... Varland gets the 5th spot...SWR and Festa bumped up a notch. Would really like them to get rid of Richards but they probably keep him. Topa returns and Dobber goes down.
  9. I don't put much stock into today's game other than that the Pohlad's screwed the pooch at the deadline and their three best players weren't in the lineup.
  10. I wonder where the players get that from...
  11. If Ryan is done for the year, I don't see how the Twins hold off Boston or Kansas City let alone catch Cleveland. SWR is racking up innings and you have to worry about his stamina. Festa is a rookie. Lots of pressure on his shoulders. Varland. Paddack. Meh. Bullpen was already middle of the road but now you're likely need to extended appearances from them 3 out of 5 games. Turn out the lights.
  12. https://www.mlb.com/news/yoshinobu-yamamoto-placed-on-injured-list-with-triceps-injury Yamamoto initially was diagnosed with triceps tightness but wound up on the IL with a strained rotator cuff.
  13. Triceps tightness for Ryan...season over.
  14. Its managerial malpractice to keep this guy in the game.
  15. The corpse of a manager just blankly staring into space and furiously gnawing on his gum.
  16. I don't know where that zone is Chief. Richards being squeezed like Charmin.
  17. Rocco needs to get tossed. This is complete horse ****.
  18. This is some BS behind the plate.
  19. Very few players on this team do the little or smart things that win you games.
  20. This is going to be a complete disaster.
  21. This home plate umpire needs glasses or something. Come on.
  22. I think they're still gun shy after 2022. That and the payroll crunch.
