  1. Will Rocco be fired - probably not. Should he be fired - yes, he should.
  2. Finishing the season with 8 straight losses seems like the most likely outcome for this group.
  3. Looking forward to Morneau describing Cabrera's stuff like he's a combination of Justin Verlander, Roger Clemens and Dwight Gooden in their respective primes.
  4. I think SWR pitched well this season and was a pleasant surprise for a team that fell apart down the stretch. But, he's gassed and not sure how much more he has in the tank. Expecting big things from in 2025 however.
  5. We shall see. Book on Correa isn't closed yet.
  6. If you don't have confidence and trust in the people you work for, you will not produce at a high level. That applies to all walks of life.
  7. 'Trust' is just a euphemism for 'no feel for the game'. Rocco's married to his spreadsheets and it feels as if he goes into the game with a script and he sticks to that script regardless of what's happening on the field.
  8. At this point, I wouldn't be shocked if the last win of the 2024 season came on Friday, September 20th. This team's dead in the water and has been for quite some time.
  9. This team's quit on the manager. The lifeless faces in the dugout are a giant flashing neon sign. If Rocco's back, we might as well hop in a time machine and go back to the 2021 season.
  10. Correa giving Rocco the death stare in that picture is gold.
  11. Rocco with the big FU using Irvin. SMH.
  12. Popkins! He would not get another job at the major league level. His biggest contribution was finding a summer sausage. The moment the season ends, he needs to go.
  13. They're being paid to bite their tongue.
  14. How many 'worst' losses of the season have the Twins had since August 1st?
  15. Royce has been a huge disappointment this season.
  16. If he's legitimately that slow, he needs to quit playing baseball.
  17. This team is so mentally weak. There's no fight. They fold like a cheap suit.
  18. If the Twins had a manager, he'd sit him down the rest of the season.
  19. Rocco's been around since 2019. This isn't his first season. 2021 was a disaster. They collapsed down the stretch in 2022. They had an even worse collapse in 2024. No one is blaming Rocco for every loss this season. That's moving the goal posts. What people are blaming Rocco for, and rightfully so, is a team that fails to execute and has shown an uncanny knack for losing games at the margins. Take a look at the Mets in 2024 and compare them to the team in 2023. Take a look at the Guardians. Managers matter. Good ones can absolutely make a difference as can mediocre ones.
  20. This is what I find interesting. In the NFL, when a coach is on the hot seat, do people say, well he can't throw touchdowns for them or he can't play defense for them. In the NBA, is it, well, the coach can't make jump shots for them. In the NHL, is it, well, the coach can't score goals for them. When players fail on the field, the buck stops with managers and coaches. Otherwise, coaches and managers would rarely get fired.
  21. Are there still questions about this?
