  1. No bacon? No steak? No ham? No fried chicken? No sausage? I might need to change my diet..,
  2. I believe legally they are the same state. It's in the Constitution somewhere...
  3. Gaurentee Twins win tonight. 4-0 on the year with my predictions.
  4. Gamecast just showed me that Grossman walked on 4 strikes and 6 balls...
  5. Great intro, awesome stories. Go Twins.
  6. Didn't realize the Rays were so terrible against lefties. We might have a good shot to keep this barrel rolling after all. I still wish JO and Berv weren't so close in sequence.
  7. Mine is 0. Coincidently, I'm a huge fan of Neitzche.
  8. True enough. Blame my Swiss cheese brain
  9. 16 games over .500. That's the point at which the team could lose half their remaining games and still win 90, ie) likely playoffs. Whenever any team achieves that level in a season I consider them playoff contenders. Until then it's just watching the standings and waiting.
  10. Pouring rain outside. Over my walkie I told the new assistant manager that the home office needed him to.run out and check if the retention pond was holding water. After a long pause, he came back over the walkie with a very unenthusiastic "ok, I'm on it." Thankfully for him my shift Manager broke in and told me not to be such an ass. Borrowing a bit from the Office, I once came in early and used the label maker to print out "security risk" and put it on the bottom of a peer's name badge. She walked around with it most of the day, interacting with associates and customers for hours. Let's see a sweep.
  11. Mine was $3000. Guess I'm a better poster...
  12. Pickup game anyone? I call DH/manager.
  13. Awesome. I honestly thought the answer to the question was "eating a chile dog." Shows you how much Herbie packed it on during his career.
  14. Nice, decent Catholic lobsters put them inside. Only nice decent Catholic lobsters that go off to college and break out of their repressed youth by stripping let them hang out.
  15. He may have had a couple of chardonnays. What of it? He frames better when he's had a few.
  16. I've lived in Grand Forks, and I'm betting that doesn't go over well with the conservative core. For myself I say, good for you, the windowsills need dusting.
  17. So Riverbrian is the only one running around his house in a severely skimpy maid outfit?
  18. One thing I don't get. How is Riverbrian still married with all those maids running around the house in what I can only assume are severely skimpy maid outfits?
  19. If JO needs Tommy John surgery I'll pass you the match myself.
  20. I spend so much of my time on hererailing against negativity. And the one thought that has been running through my head all day is: When is Berrios' TJ surgery scheduled for? I don't know what's wrong with me.
  21. There's always the possibility that Wright is in our rotation next year?
  22. Also very convenient for people who want to complain is the fact that in this day and age every move can instantly be scrutinized in a vacuum and torn to shreds. It's a good time to be a hater/malcontent/grouch!
  23. I love how Big Erv finished that game strong and gave us 7 innings. I think JO can do bettwr tonight. Go Twins.
  24. My 2 cents: Liriano has had a fine SP career. The idea that he would have been better off as a reliever is pretty silly. For long stretches he has been absolutely dominant. Unfortunately for him, he's also been very inconsistent. And when he's bad, he's really bad. But he has enough elite equity built up where I'd never go back in time and convert him to a releiver from the get go. I also disagree that a dominant releiver isn't as valuable as an average starting pitcher. Dominant releivers can have a huge effect on a season, just as much as your #3 starter. If I had to choose I'd take a staff of average starters and elite relievers over a staff of very good starters and average relievers. The Royals have proven this model with their 2 great runs, and I still don't understand why they didn't do more to keep that elite pen intact.
  25. Dear Jobu, please stop the rain. That's all I got.
