  1. Play it backwards and the dead shall rise.
  2. Gotta love these Trump and Obama Kia of St. Cloud commercials on the radio.
  3. I'm eating venison tonight, so lean meat, no clogged arteries. Of course I'm on my 6th drink, no there may be a tradeoff.
  4. Prediction time. I predict a Twins win. This is only the second time all year I've done this. I'm 1 for 1 so far. Go Twins.
  5. Dave, at Cornel University they have an incredible piece of scientific equipment known as the Tunneling Electron Microscope (TEM). Now this Microscope is so powerful that by firing electrons you can actually see images of the atom, the infitesimally small building block of all life. Dave, if I were using this Microscope right now, I still couldn't locate my interest in Aaron Hicks' stats.
  6. The ones that paint like MC Escher are the real masters. The ump just calls them all strikes since they probably are strikes in one dimension or another.
  7. I literally have no idea what to expect today. Two great pitchers, two lineups that can score a bunch of runs or get shut down. Super dynamic/volatile game. Would want to bet this one. $100 on Twins.
  8. As distasteful as I find that part of the game, I have to admit it would be pretty funny if Hughes plunked their leadoff hitter with his first pitch.
  9. I actually agree with this. What I meant was that you can at least have the possibility of fixing a head case. You just can't add 5 mph to a fastball or 6 inches to a breaking ball if they're not good to start.
  10. IF that's the case, then he's made his own bed and will have to lie in it in the minors for a while. I hope it isn't true and he can get his act together.
  11. Both of those scenarios would embody horrible management strategy. I trust Falvine do not employ horrible management strategy.
  12. Not results; attitude, confidence, mechanics, health, etc. He looked and acted like a new man this spring. And he had decent results.
  13. Ok, just checked the game score. I can stop using the qualifier IF he throws another bad game.
  14. I agree, he's costing us games right now and should be removed if he throws poorly today. But I can't fault the FO for believing things would be better for him to start this year. He certainly fooled me.
  15. Again, Gibson was showing every indication of turning an injury and performance corner coming out of spring training. I don't believe his pitching is the problem, I think he's a head case who needs some time away to decompress. Either way, if he throws another rough outing tonight I predict he will be moved to the pen or AAA, as he should.
  16. I want to take a second to appreciate the discussion here today. It has been a good one.
  17. Gibson gave every indication he would be competent to start the season. That he hasn't has been a surprise and dissapointmemt. I believe his leash is nearing its end, as it should be. Patience is a must, not everything can happen at video game speeds. I would rather DanSan wasn't on the team, I really would. I think he would be gone if not for a few key injuries to start the year, but maybe I'm wrong. I do think the 25th man situation is a mole hill which I have no desire to turn into a mountain.
