  1. Prove to us that you are serious about postseason baseball. Twins did nothing at the deadline, which was ok to not get robbed for prospects. But they need to add a starting pitcher. Gray will be gone and I’m fine with not paying a 34 year old who relies on location and off speed pitches. Go get Blake Snell. You have the available funds. Also need a bat. Is Kepler back? I’d pass. One good year every third season just doesn’t cut it. This team showed us that can knock off the Astros. We just need to hit. And replace Gray with a pitcher with better stuff. My guess is neither of these two wishes comes true and Thalvey and Levine will try to promote from within.
  2. Why any Twins fan trust Falvey/Lavigne to make a trade that would benefit this organization is beyond me. Let the next front office make a trade.
  3. Skenes all the way. I’m not sold on our farm system developing talent. Skenes could join the rotation this year. A dominant true number 1 pitcher is the hardest asset to obtain. Even with a hot start, I’m not sure we have a number 2 in our rotation. Ryan maybe. Lopez is looking like a 3. Gray is having a resurgence, but he’s prob a 3. Just don’t get cute and draft someone outside of the consensus top 5 please.
  4. As good as the major league starting rotation has been, there are only two starters who have a future with this club. Lopez and Ryan. And both are starting to come back to earth. I don’t know how you pass on pitching.
  5. Thalvey and Levine need to start acting like their jobs are on the line. Which player can have the biggest, quickest major league impact. Skenes. If we draft him and he’s as good as advertised, he may just save their jobs. Can you imagine this fan base if Skenes is available and they pass and he turns into a generational starting pitcher?!!!
  6. Starting pitching for our staff will still only average 4.5 innings per start.
  7. The hall of fame used to mean something. At a minimum you had to get to 3,000 hits. I guess those days are long gone. But Mauer never got close. In fact he barely broke 2,000. He never drove in runs. As good a hitter as he was supposed to be, you would think at least his RBI’s would have been more impressive. I mean he hit in the top 3 spots in the order pretty much his whole career. For those of us that think he was overpaid we got fed up with the god like worshipping for all the years after his “bilateral leg weakness”. It was way over the top. Way worse than Madden slobbering over Favre. Great player pre injury, very average post. I don’t think he belongs in the Hall and it’s really not very close.
  8. Looks good to me. Depending on when Royce is able to come back, we may not regret losing Correa. But as a fan, I’m going to be pissed we didn’t take any of that $285 mil and get a pitcher. So, Heyman, don’t tell me the Pohlads aren’t being cheap!
