I’d take the pitcher. But Twins won’t. They’ve taken 8 pitchers in the first since 1983. Gotta be the lowest in baseball!

When are the Twins going to start taking a chance on a high end pitching prospect near the top. We have an over abundance of SS and OF prospects. Most of which are injury prone or will be moved to a less premium position. Also we don’t need anymore high school prospects. Too unpredictable. Just my two cents. Feel like I’m already ahead of Falvey’s thought process.

Who will be scouting the current and future crop of prospects for the Twins? Mr. Burns, I mean Carl Pohlads grandson? Didn’t the P’s fire all of the Twins scouts? Last I checked it’s a pretty important aspect of a successful team. Maybe the Twins will be that at some point in my lifetime.

Too little too late. There is absolutely nothing the Pohlads can or will do to win back the trust of loyal Twins fans. Carl Pohlads was the inspiration for Montgomery Burns. Every passing season his dead a$$ reminds me more and more of the fictional character. The guy literally foreclosed farms in person during the Great Depression. It’s time for Twins fans to shut it down. Stop going to the games at this beautiful stadium us taxpayers helped fund. Really funny how that point never gets brought up to the Pohlads anymore. Use your mlb team to bankroll your financial losses. Some where deep down Bud Selig and Carl Pohlad are rubbing their hands together as Monty Burns laugher fills Hells caverns

The only real value you’re going to get back is from Joe Ryan. Pablo is damaged goods now. Jeffers is a good player in my opinion, but not great defensively. So what are you looking to get back for Joe? Pitching prospects? We have an abundance of outfield and shortstops in our system. If it’s not elite pitching prospects I wouldn’t pull the trigger. And even then I think your taking a big risk.

Always one of you in the crowd. I’m talking about paying for a streaming service to watch the Twins. So yeah, I pay for hulu, but I’m not paying to watch every Twins game. Did I explain it well enough for you? Prob not.

Baseball will never be the same for me. It started with paying to watch the Twins on television. I’ll never do that. Baseball has gotten way too greedy for their own good. There should have been a clause in the contract with the city of Mpls and the Pohlads that they would have to spend a minimum amount to sign FA’s and retain their own players. How they got off with a tax payer funded stadium is beyond me. I hope Bud Selig and Carl P are eternally hot. My 4 year old son and I were watching the Yankees and Twins game the other night for free. Bases loaded, no outs and all we could muster was one run. My son looks at me and says dad this team needs better players. I laughed and said you might want to pick a different team to cheer for bud.

Send him to Houston for some BBQ sauce. I was shocked by his original signing, and less shocked by his demise. The leg fracture repair sunk his value to the point the Twins thought they could bid with the big boys. When the big boys folded little Falvey got excited and threw all his money on the counter. With our penchant to draft SS prospects in the first round we should have someone who can take over. Don’t love the Duran trade. Abel seems like a bust. And why in the world did we trade for two catching prospects days apart??? Where do I get a GM application?

Did the Pohlads have a change of heart?
Twinkies are for eating replied to thelanges5's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
The prospective buyers could be behind this. Hopefully a deal is already in place. But honestly the signings Falvey has made will do absolutely nothing for the team. Could have just promoted some young kids and gotten same results. -
We do need new owners. Carl threatened to move the team if he didn’t get a publicly funded stadium. The evil/corupt Bud Selig had his back. Well we built that stadium and the cheap ass Pohlad family still doesn’t spend money to justify the states commitment to their team. It’s time MLB did something about it. And if they don’t, fans need to start boycotting our beautiful stadium. That would force the Pohlads hand. Spend or sell.

Times have changed I get it. Funny you bring up the Rangers. Didn’t Falvine get outbid for Eovaldi? Garver would have been a nice bat in the postseason. I think Jeffers had one hit. My point is that the Astros knew the rest of our starters after Pablo were hittable. Even Sonny, as great of a regular season as he had faded down the stretch. Top starters have dominant out pitches plural. There is no one on our staff after Pablo that is going to keep us in a game and hand it over to the bullpen with a chance to win come playoff time. Joe Ryan, maybe. If he rediscovers himself. Ober, Paddock? I think not. I’d rather have Blake Snell than any bat or position player available. You can’t tell me you wouldn’t.

Starting pitching dominates in the playoffs. We saw proof positive last year with our own club. We would have never made it past Toronto without Pablo. Before we bounced Toronto everyone talked about the record playoff drought. It was no surprise to me. This team has not had any dominant starting pitchers since Johan. Sure you can win the Central with this current staff, but that’s not a given. Seems to me the Pohlads once again are happy to put a .500ish roster together and laugh at us diehard fans who dream of next year while they count their billions. It’s a broken record and Bally sports has control over our broadcasts with limited streaming for home games. What has changed?

The Twins Should Not Trade Max Kepler
Twinkies are for eating replied to Hunter McCall's topic in Twins Daily Front Page News
They should absofreakinlutely trade Max. Strike while the irons hot. Too many prospects in the org that play OF. Max has had 8 full seasons to impress us. Finally in the 2nd half of year 9 he’s figured it out? Not likely. When he’s hot he’s a blast to watch. Problem is when he’s not he is colder than anyone in the game.- 139 replies

Walker Jenkins Has a Vision for 2024
Twinkies are for eating replied to Ted Schwerzler 's topic in Twins Minor League Talk
Kids a stud. Seems mature beyond his age. Let’s hope the Twins don’t wait until he’s 27 to bring him up. I’m not saying he should be here next year, but it would be nice to see management take a chance on him sooner than later. Brooks Lee should make the club out of spring training. Probably replacement for Kiriloff unfortunately. Split time at third with Polonco and eventually take over the hot corner.
