  1. To me it looks like he really doesn't want to be here.
  2. Jax is now pitching scared. Blew the first one in the 9th, next one by throwing the ball away and now it's in his head wondering if he can do anything right.
  3. Keirsey Jr. out on review? That was "clear and convincing evidence"?
  4. Gut??? I guarantee he went with his f'ing clipboard. He does not have a manager's gut sense whatsoever.
  5. For someone who has played the game at a high level he seems to be absolutely clueless at times. (a lot of times)
  6. Is there anyone who thinks this team HASN'T quit?
  7. I think the guy we should be praising is Ober. 6 innings of 1 run ball and kept us in the game. Royce did spectacular but without Ober keeping us there this would have been a far different outcome.
  8. I truly hope Pablo is struggling with some kind of annoying injury. That's the only thing that would make any sense of this sudden dropoff.
  9. Just once I'd like to see our hitters give themselves up to ADVANCE a baserunner. They have got to be the worst in MLB in that regard.
  10. Went to bed too early as had to be up @4:45. Missed the whole thing.
  11. Hard to believe MLB is not coming down hard on him for this obvious bias. That has no place in the game.
  12. "especially now that Jordan Luplow is likely out of the picture"? Am I missing something? What is up with Luplow?
  13. Oh, I surely remember him but not even close to Ron Davis. Jax and Davis are the only Twins relievers in my memory of losing double digit games as a reliever. Starters - yes, relievers - no. That means they came into the game ahead or tied and blew the game. With the pitching rules where the men on base belong to the previous pitcher(s) it's not that easy to actually get saddled with a loss.
  14. Why do they keep sending Jax out there? We haven't seen this type of futility since the Ron Davis days. When a RELIEVER has double digit losses it's time to try out someone from the minors or even possibly drop a starter to the bullpen. Keuchel or Ober or something - anything!
  15. I must be in the wrong place. I thought the Twins were trying to win their division. They wont with a lineup like this. Collective BA can't be over .225.
  16. Jax is NOT a closer - why put him in that situation?
  17. Totally agree - put the clipboard down and use your brain on occasion. For someone who played the game Rocco sometimes looks clueless.
  18. All he can do is look at his clipboard and make all his decisions based on that. For someone who played as a professional he has about the least baseball acumen of any manager in the game.
  19. Y'all are missing the elephant in the room. I have never seen a team with more hamstring, knee and other lower body injuries in my many years. It's hard to put together a consistent lineup when a third of your players are out. I've never been a Baldelli fan, but he has had to cobble together some lineups that nobody would have imagined. Personally, I think they need an entire new strength and conditioning
  20. So a pitcher bounces a ball into the strike zone and the robot calls it a strike. You can't challenge that call?
