Rockies with a lead off double. With a Twins like result.

Rocco called him a professional hitter and that his defense is better than advertised. He ain't going anywhere.

"I was glad to see Trevor make it safely to third base . You really don't want to make an out at third base on a hit like that."

That has not been legal in Minnesota since Jack Morris was here in '91.

looks like keeping then in the single digits will be the goal tonight.

Last night Rocco said he has no idea what the hitter's approach is at the plate. Thank you captain obvious.

The Rockies do not look like the worst team in baseball.

    Live it up, do both!

Freeland is 1-10? If this does not kick start the Twins offense nothing will.

My wife and I enjoyed the Twins' last regular season series in Coors Field in 2023. I was told by my seat neighbor Rockies fan that the reason their attendence is so high is because so many out of town fans come to Coors Field. Nicest fans as I have found anywhere. We also did a food/history tour of Old Denver, well worth the money. We sat behind third base the first game and planned on trying different seats for the 2nd and 3rd games but changed our mind because of the view. 3rd game went into extra innings (last game of the season and the playoffs were looming)so the Twins sent out a position player to pitch the 11th inning. The only blemish on the whole trip.

I wish they would get more TV sponsors. Getting really tired of the Waste Management commercial between every inning.

There is no doubt that he has a hitch in his giddy up. I was at Saturdays game and after running to first base on a foul ball he slowly walked back to home plate. Very slowly. The umpire immediatly had a conversation with him and the next hitter had a conversation with the umpire also. His leg still is hurt. Until the leg is 100% he will continue to hit 320 foot fly balls instead of line drive doubles and homers. His glove needs to work better and I have no idea if he is willing to put in the time and effort to improve to the poiint of being a plus fielder. Average would be nice at this point. I vote keep him but give him some days off or IL him and lets see Martin for the rest of this year. He has no value in a trade.

Lets not forget that Berrios was not going to resign with the Twins. Lopez also cost the Twins batting champion Luis Arraez in the trade. A hitter sorely missing this year. Trading Ryan with 2 and 1/2 years of control would be waving the white flag for this and next year. The old saying was "do you trade an everyday player for a starting pitcher?" In todays game I think you need to get 2 everyday players for a starter of Ryans capability.

Gage Wood, right handed pitcher expected to be available at 16. History of shoulder problems. Plenty of talent but please pass unless he is at 36.

    47 and 49.......they earned it.
  19. ziggy
    that's a rhetorical question isn't it?

sure, you can power wash anything. It might not like it but everything needs to be stress tested.

I'm aware. That's why I whine about the bullpen having to cover 4 innings too often. It's not sustainable all season long.
  22. ziggy
Provich mentioned the relief pitchers all want to get in some work before the off days this week.

I'll see your Angel Hernandez and raise you a C.B. Buckner.
