  1. I would not give up Milone. Nolasco and May should serve as a long reliever. Santana, Hughes, Gibson, Milone, Duffey should be in the rotation for early next season. Plouffe needs to be traded to make room for young players.
  2. I find it very hard to believe Molitor would demote the best starter on the team. Was he crazy?
  3. Yeah it's climbing though.
  4. I don't understand why folks are so high on Trevor May. He has not shown he could pitch well under pressure in close games lately. He might just be an average reliever with an ERA around 4. Although he has some strikeout stuff, he is quite hittable.
  5. Call me crazy, I would rather have Kepler as a PH today instead of Santana. I would rather have Hicks play instead of Buxton.
  6. Well Buxton is an automatic out nowadays. I would prefer to see Kepler instead. Kepler, Rosario and Hicks would make a fine outfield.
  7. I disagree. I think Escobar has a good arm, not weak, and he throws accurately. He has quite a few outfield assists at the plate. He has average range and slightly above average speed. Plouffe is also a .250 hitter, isn't he? Escobar has already shown that he is an above average major league player at the age of 26. He should definitely be a starter on any team.
  8. Well, all I remember was Santana had quite a few lucky infield singles last year. That clearly would not sustain.
  9. Escobar did very well in spring training. He should be the starter the whole season.
  10. As I said it many times, Escobar has power and he is a streaky hitter. He is also a solid fielder. No doubt he should be starting the whole season.
  11. Plouffe would be a good comparison. Plouffe has more power and is older. Escobar could play more position. At this time of their career, they are both solid fielders.
  12. Sano, Buxton, Hicks, Rosario, Escobar, Kepler, Dozier and Vargas along with a good hitting catcher would make a scary lineup. Good hitting, good power and good fielding.
  13. As I said many times, Escobar is clutch and streaky. He has some good power and he is a solid fielder. When he's hot, he could carry the team on his shoulder. I want him to start in spring training. I always think he is a better player than Santana. Better glove and much more power. He is emotional and clutch. He is still young.
  14. Liriano hit a three-run homer for the Pirates.
  15. After Boyer gets released and Santana moves out of rotation, that would be the time to deal with Pelfrey.
  16. Trading 18th and 25th prospects for this middle reliever is what made me upset the most. I think it's a terrible trade for the Twins. Probably not as influential as Ramos for Capps trade, it's still a bad trade.
  17. Cuz he's Joe and Joe's making 23 million dollars a year.
  18. I think Joe earned his job, he really needs to earn his salary though
  19. Trading a starter for a reliever is never going to be good. A starter could easily be converted to a reliever with success. (Davis, Perkins) It's like trading a Watermelon for an apple. Hu is also much younger. What the Twins should have done is to promote from within. Achter, Duffey and Rogers should all be good candidates.
  20. I don't really care for this year. This team is not going to the playoff. Jepsen is just slightly better than Boyer. Hu could get to the big league as soon as next season and he is a real competitor. He might be a better starter than Jay. It's just another terrible trade. It reminds me of that Ramos for Capps trade. Very similar. If in the future, the Twins is one good starter short of post season, who should we blame?
  21. May also has the highest ERA and least innings pitched though.
  22. Yeah, if they could trade Pelfrey to get a prospect, May should be in the rotation.
  23. I don't give a crap about that either. I am just not sure May would do better though. May is just a 5-6 inning starter who could strike people out. His strikeout ability would serve well in the bullpen since the bullpen lacks power arms. May also needs to be more efficient with his pitches and lower his ERA in order to be an effective starter. Do you realize that Pelfrey has not been that bad and May has not been that good? This game is all about winning. It's not about how many batters you could strike out. Don't play favoritism here.
