    Why did Porcello plunk him? Neither Porcello nor their catcher, Leon, showed any signs of being surprised. And they showed zero concern when Scooby got hit. I say they both knew it was coming.

    Trading for a catcher with a bat sounds like a good idea. Right after we sift through the extra arms and settle on the starting rotation and the remaining bullpen moves.

    As much as I like Mauer, I sure wish his bat had a little more pop in it. Lead by example, Joe. Rolling over on those ground balls up the middle gets old. It's time for Ehire to go south.

    Buxton took pretty good swings. That's a good thing, even if he missed. He saw the ball. Pressly gave it away. But he's been good. Berrios struggled. A couple bad curve balls. A tight zone for both pitchers. They outhit and outpitched us.
