  1. Didn't Christian Guzman round the bases on a bunt and a series of errors once?
  2. Plouffe is having a good game at least.
  3. The numbers are ascending - go J.O.
  4. This game is just awful on every level.
  5. Pryor looks like Jim Hoey 2.0, maybe a little younger.
  6. I see it as a lack of faith in the Twins organization in their AAA pool, coupled with very weak roster. With with a roster full of question marks, players fail to seize the opportunities given them: Hicks, Parmelee, Mastro, Florimon, etc. Kubel was the one that almost made sense, just 1 season removed from relevance. Remember a few years back when Jacque Jones attempted a comeback, and actually looked the part, but in the end he was cut because the Twins had a major league roster. Different times these.
  7. Do teams get extra money in their pool to sign these picks?
  8. That sentence stuck out to me as well. Hopefully this whole article is as off base.
  9. Thanks for sharing Parker - interesting to hear what management thinks.
  10. Saw this article: http://www.examiner.com/article/cardinal-trade-target-kurt-suzuki They postulate Suzuki could be had for a middling prospect; Mike O'Neill in this case, a 5'9" outfielder with no speed or power. Makes trading him harder if that's all they could hope to get.
  11. It works both ways folks - to think Suzuki will take a bogus offer at this point, mmmm, ain't gonna happen. TR should be sleepin with the cell at this point.
  12. Poor fellow just can't catch a break.
  13. Get to know him!
  14. I think it would be very cool to add Rusney to the Twins namebank.
  15. wouldn't mind taking another trip down to Cedar Rapids this summer. Nice town, fun neighborhood ballpark, and some hotter prospects than when i visited earlier.
  16. The way to go is to sell sell sell, and bring up the kids en masse. Tweeners like Dozier are the hardest to call - the guy is just barely out of his prospect costume. His D and power alone, coupled with his age and contract status, to me spells keeper. You need to build around something, and him, Hughes, Perkins, ore a start.
  17. My dumb ass read that as Buxton vs. Correia: wondering what there was to compare, or whether it would be "Buxton would hit .500," "no, he'd hit .600 against KC."
  18. This kid has "wow" written all over him: 100+ heat and a wipeout slider. Twins were lucky to get him in the 2nd.
  19. Good question - I asked in another thread and never got an answer....
  20. That is a job I would refuse - major league sniffer....
  21. I remember the joy in the Aiken household the night of the draft - getting drafted by Houston is gonna become a bummer for these kids.
  22. Hope to hell it isn't that wrist shot....
  23. I wonder what is the best prospect Suzuki would fetch? Would another team part with a top prospect for him?
  24. How tall is that unhittable closer from Atlanta?
  25. Well yeah, triples are the bomb, but they be rare, and often wasted. Thanks for posting Thome's 3 bagger though., scoring Cuddy. Great stuff.
