Bullpen coach Eddie Guardado answers a phone call from Monitor http://foreignerinformosa.typepad.com/the_foreigner_in_formosa/images/chiefwiggum_912_2.jpg
I'm not outraged but it is getting harder to follow this FO's thinking. The problem with the bullpen is the cheap declining vets in it are allowing too many runners to score. Therefore, acquire another cheap declining vet who allows too many runners to score?
I'd say Obama's an excellent speech writer (or had excellent speech writers) but on his feet he gets tongue tied and can be a professor/windbag at times.
I think she's plenty likeable too but more importantly, checks more boxes - namely the sex. Regardless, there's going to be a 3rd party if Trump's the nominee, I just hope its not someone like Palin or Bachman.
IMO you have to plan for a Rosario-Hicks-Arcia OF to start next season with Kepler and Buxton in AAA. Plouffe at 3B and Sano at DH. Vargas is hopefully ready to move to AAA by then and Harrison is not even a concern yet IMO.
Well, yeah. Who could beat those two though? I'd say Klobuchar is the perfect mix of, sanity, sex, track record in Washington (longer than Trump's, shorter than Hillary's), middle of the country, sane, etc. Did I mention sane?
I still think his defense needs work and he may fit better in a corner, but at the plate Hicks is among the 4-5 guys on the team who will actually work a count and put together a competitive AB. Simply laying off balls and punishing strikes is the hallmark of a professional IMO. Much easier said than done obviously. Hicks seems to have solved both halves of that equation which is a huge boon for the Twins and I'm happy that he's silenced doubters like myself.

If anything I think the counter argument could be made. Plouffe is less pull happy than ever, and the results are excellent. Mauer is more pull happy, the results worse. You can't cookie cutter anybody, that's the only lesson I hope the Twins learned from the Ortiz fiasco.
