  1. Upside is the most important, I would agree. I'm just mot sold on Greene being that guy right now.
  2. Correa isn't a difference maker?
  3. Boy, we have come a long way. I can remember a time when we had little to no middle infield prospects. Nice to have several doing very well.
  4. I don't put a ton of stock in performances good or bad at this point. I think the whole season is a much better indicator. But a loss of velocity is a bit concerning. I can remember we drafted Ryan Mills despite his velocity dipping. I know, let it go, but I does concern me
  5. If Greene has to go to SS because he failed as a pitcher, it's a failed pick. Is he a good to great SS prospect? Yes. But his greatness lies as a pitcher. If he fails as a pitcher, let's not fool ourselves. It's a failed pick.
  6. I like McKay better as a hitter. And I don't want a 1st base DH type at 1. I just don't like taking a player because he might advance quickly. McCarty was taken with that mindset.
  7. I disagree on Greene having the highest ceiling. Sure he can hit 102, which is great. But he has only pitched 28 innings and doesn't really have a great feel for off speed yet. Gore has a mid 90s fastball and off speed that shows signs of being plus.
  8. I don't buy they are taking McKay as a pitcher at 1. I just don't think he's an impact guy.
  9. I'm ok with him coming up. We don't exactly have anyone else who is ready and you have to be impressed with his numbers. If nothing else maybe he becomes a bullpen arm once some of the kids are ready.
  10. I like Gore a lot. I like him a little more than Wright even. I like that he already has off speed to go with the mid 90s fastball.
  11. Although I prefer Gore, I'm more than ok with Wright. Watched a little of his last start and I was impressed.
  12. Not impressed with McKay. I'm more than worried about his velocity issues. Reminds me of the Ryan Mills pick.
  13. If I was to pick a prep pitcher, it would be Gore, or Shane Baz. I just don't think Greene is that much better, and both of the other kids have better off speed.
  14. I know he's only in AA , but Curtiss really intrigues me.I guess I'm hoping we see him sooner than later.
  15. Sounded like Alex Robinson is on the way to the Twin Cities for his physical
  16. Sorry, had the manager post on my mind when i read this. I have heard Pat Hentgen mentioned in ties with Molitor. Other than that, i don't have any clue. I'd probably look to an organization known for it's pitching and go from there.
  17. Just curious why there isn't a lot of love for Steinbach? Played under LaRussa, worked with Dave Duncan.
  18. He is a fill in. They are obviously gonna send Hicks up to AAA and make him earn his way back. Florimon was/is terrible and the team hasn't missed him at all.
  19. 1500ESPN is reporting that Diamond has been released to make room for May? Anyone else hear this or see this?
  20. Correia may not be that hard. He is a Vet arm that did ok in the NL. Hammer is a guy that should get some serious attention.
  21. I don't think i want him to fail so to speak, but id rather see May and Meyer. Deduno is what he is, i don't think he will ever be a guy that you can really count on.
  22. While it would be nice to get a Top 5 guy once in awhile, i don't mind the Twins strategy either. Not counting Sano, we have signed guys like Kepler(who i still like)Polanco, Thorpe, Diaz. I don't know if the signings are more publicized now, but you can't argue that they have made an effort to bring in talent.
  23. Even though we are doing well i think trading for an ace is premature. Sano and Buxton are in AA currently. Meyer and May are seemingly almost ready. I just don't think the current team is good enough to trade for an elite pitcher and the cost that comes with it.
  24. I'm a little surprised Clay signed for less than slot. I also thought Gonzalez would've been a tougher sign.
  25. No thanks. Another vet clogging the roster and taking at bats away from the kids.
