  1. Maybe it's blind faith, but the Twins have had recent success finding pitchers later on.
  2. Bender has a nice one too. Looks like he should be teaching math, not playing baseball
  3. I have relatives who live in Ankeny. They seem to think the Hawkeyes are just leverage. I tend to agree.
  4. He seems quite raw. I'm hoping he can improve his pitch selection
  5. A little bit. I thinks probably because they were back to back and I'm a big believer in finding pitching first.
  6. Culpepper isn't my favorite, but I can live with him. But two shortstops? Not sure about that one
  7. The good Miranda has been very impressive. I figured he was out of their plans after last year. Also Woods-Richardson. I never would've guessed he was going to be staying The bad Number one has to be Kiriloff. I've been a big fan, but he's testing even my patience. Wallner was also disappointing, I'm hoping he has cured himself. Julien is also on this list. That being said, I'm shocked we haven't been worse. Here's hoping the 2nd half is better. Love to see the kids( Lee, Martin, Festa etc) get their shot.
  8. I remember Mills. Everyone thought he was gonna be good. He got shelled in the College World Series right before getting drafted.. I was reading and there far worse picks. Detroit drafted 2 busts back to back in the same draft
  9. Highly meh on Drscalfini or however it's spelled. Tupa should be useful. I'm not gonna even pretend to know about the prospects. Wait and see on this trade
  10. I'm a little surprised Wagner isn't doing better.
  11. So I haven't been paying attention, but is their compensation for him signing elsewhere?
  12. Hrbek is leaps and bounds better than Kiriloff at this point. He never really got his due, especially defensively. Tapani I would definitely take over Ober, at this point. He was solid. I'd actually takes Jeffers over Harper. Harper could hit, and that's it.
  13. AK has a tough road ahead. I had a similar surgery two years ago, and it still bothers me. Good thing he is in better shape and not pushing 50
  14. I'd love to see him back. Reminds me a little of Tony Phillips.
  15. This is the guy I think we can really turn into something. If he can add some velocity and cut down his walks, we have something here
  16. I loved the first two picks, but honestly didn't know much about the last one. Good to hear positive thoughts about him. Love that they honored Radcliff. Very classy.
  17. I'm hoping for a good HS arm next. And hoping we can get Witt too.
  18. I was a little surprised we took Jenkins. Pleasantly surprised though. Good start for us.
  19. Honestly if we are picking that high, if don't go for the toolsy guys, I'll be disappointed. My pipe dream is that Langford falls in our lap. Otherwise best available talent.
