  1. The Twins over the decades have picked up some players that put in pretty much their best year/s in a short time with the Twins, but then that depends on the coaching staff to a great degree. A good one makes them glad to be here.
  2. Well you can also look at this this way comparing the same three years for Donaldson to Urshela; Donaldson put up these numbers in his mid-thirties; Urshela put up these numbers in his late twenties. Now compare Donaldson numbers in his late twenties to Urshela in his late twenties, this is a losing proposition.
  3. No I showed your statement was bollocks and you do not like it, que sera, sera.
  4. One of the past three years at Third base he was above average , his 43 gave season. WOW, the one year he played over one hundred games , his range was WAY below league average, just what the Twins need.
  5. In this case it did mean superior fielding skills to what the Twins had/have.
  6. You mean not competing this year, next year, the next year, the next year... back to the seventies, only with a team that is not even 500 capable.
  7. We had a excellent defense with one above average bat and another who was no worse than what they dumped talent for. Now we have holes at third and short stop, even if they get Story they will be far below what they had last year. They still have nothing in left field even a decent shadow of what they let go, stupidity has just rewards.
  8. GEE, now we will have poor fielding skills to go with sub-average pitching, BRILLIANT, fans stayed home last year and more will stay home this year. 100 losses, every fans dream.
  9. They better get a left fielder as quick and agile as Buxton because he will probably being running in for. or chasing, a lot balls that get by the shortstop and third baseman.
  10. Maybe the Twins and Saints will switch leagues?
  11. OK. let's see, we trade a shortstop, who was an excellent defender like Simmons, but batted .271 with 53 rbi of which 45 were not by a home run, for catch who has negative defense numbers, batted .204, with 54 rbi of which 31 were not by home run. Well at least we do not have to deal with Simmons 92 hit and .223 batting average as Sanchez, 78 hits and .204 are such an improvement and the fact he has double digit negative defense numbers, well who needs defense.
  12. Hey this way instead of watching fantastic infield plays , we get to watch Twins catchers chasing the ball all over behind the plate, BRILLIANT!
  13. Last year will look good after these trades.
  14. Designated Hitter in the National League will do zip to improve the game and actually make it more boring.
  15. This fits what is happening: Reusse: NFL can’t be ruined by analytics like MLB (msn.com) The NFL might never have had a more successful season than the one that started on Sept. 9, 2021, and ended last Sunday. The TV ratings were monstrous and the playoffs were so taut that a Super Bowl won on a touchdown with 85 seconds remaining wasn't in the top five for exciting games. As this was taking place, Major League Baseball was following a 2021 season that ended with its all-time worst ratings for the World Series with a lockout that has no end in sight....
  16. In a shortened season , basically similar to 2020, with the exception of fans, and stupid man on second extra inning rule, the Twins would not be benefitted. Detroit and Chicago, heads-up are equal or better than the Twins.
  17. If he is good enough, he will make the majors, if not, he will not, end of story.
  18. I was fortunate enough to meet Lenny and shake his hand.
  19. During this lock-out can teams send, covertly, people to talk to possible players about joining when it ends?
  20. He had one more Big Show home run than Al Newman. Great write-up, thank you!?
