The concern about Hicks has been ongoing for awhile. The switch-hitting in the minors is more of a curiosity brought on by how goofy his career has started. -
I have to commend them on these last six games. After the KC and NYY series, I was expecting an absolute disaster heading into the break.

That 275 pounds Vargas is carrying looks solid as hell to me. Guy just looks like a masher.

I thought that even with Nelson Arenado's goofy triple. Right around second you could almost see the "crap, I'm going to have to run farther than I want to!" expression forming.

Absolutely not. We're talking about one of the team's top prospects the last 5 years, who has been with the big league club, and we don't even know what side of the plate he's hitting from. I mean, I can't believe I even typed something so absurd. I can't ever remember anything like that. It's another example of the truth being stranger than fiction.

Jesus Dave, at one point we all called him Crocodile Tears. He didn't exactly fall on his sword. Nor was the transition smooth. For the record, I didn't like how we converted Perkins either. I don't think it's a particularly wise way of doing things.

Yeah it was just extra mind boggling because they turned last night into a spring training game because they thought that little of the Twins and their need to throw their ace against us.

Yup, probably was. And his two greatest crimes were admitting arm soreness (something we are now bashing Nolasco in the reverse as fans) and not liking his conversion. A process I would say most of us would not like repeated in taking a starter and turning him into a reliever.

I don't understand why people are worried about getting "meh" specs for guys that will no longer exist as Twins two months later. Give me something rather than another summer of nothing. -
There is a good chance Vargas is up. Rosario as well. Pinto will almost certainly be up by September. What's the point of keeping dead weight on the roster?
