Hopefully people remember that next year when they want to project Vargas, Santana, Escobar, and Trevor May to all roughly hit like David Ortiz and pitch like Clayton Kershaw. Last year we had people stumping hard about how amazing Arcia was going to be this year and utterly ignored that rebuilds take time not just to get prospects to the big leagues, but to get them adjusted and thriving in the big leagues. Start tempering your expectations hard for some of these guys and hope they exceed them. But good god let's not spend another offseason putting these kids on goofy projections. Realism about rebuilds is twofold and many of those that preach patience on the level of guys getting to the big leagues are the first to rush projections once they get there.
