    Right, the one manager basically said they gave him the Barry Bonds treatment. That's nuts.

    People should remember that Gibson is not 26 or 27....he's 31. He'll be 32 by the end of next year. That's not the kind of player you'll want to extend, so just burn this next year and a half? Ok. I guess I'd rather see if I can flip that into a player that can help for longer than that.

    I'm with Thrylos - offer Odorizzi for him. If you move Gibson, you do it for something much more enticing. And I'm a fan of targeting Kelly, just not with this trade.

    Maybe not, but we do know from the past that the Rockies like Gibson.

    I would deal Gibson and Rodney for Gray in a heartbeat. I could see Colorado being open to it to, but it depends how frustrated they are behind the scenes with him. It's worth a call for sure.

    Why would they want Dozier? I doubt they move LeMahieu or supplant him.

    I hope he's closing some games for us in August and September.

    We're talking about 16 games. They'd have to go 12-4 just to get to .500. Yes, Cleveland is not a juggernaut, but 7 games against the worst teams in baseball history should not change our perception of the team. This is still a team that got it's ass handed to it in Milwaukee and Chicago. And the majority of the first half of the season. It's like being in the eye of the hurricane and proclaiming "storm's over!" No...we just hit a comfy part of the schedule. Nothing more, nothing less. It shouldn't change what this team is doing by July 31st. No one is demanding they make a deal right now, by noon or something. Just not to get deluded by pasting AA teams at home.

    Yeah, didn't want to post that until I looked it up. But you're right, these could be the two worst teams of all time. And people are talking about playoffs? Can I get a meme of Picard face-palming while Jim Mora yells "Playoffs?!?!?"

    I love how beating two of the worst teams in major league baseball's recent history suddenly has people thinking playoffs again. Someone queue up Picard's facepalm for when we stop playing AA teams.

    It is my ardent belief that someday another alien civilization will deem us expendable as a lifeform based solely on the content of Twitter and Facebook. And deservedly so.

    I've determined any kind of engagement on social media, even about what you might think is mundane, is walking into a trap. There's just no upside.

    I do wonder if people have confused the old QO system with the current one. The current one of 17M (I've heard it might be 18M next year for some reason? I'll try and find a link) makes no sense for either of these guys. If you want a one year, prove-it deal.....offer them both 8-10M for next year. Otherwise, offer them something more like what Cozart got - 3 years/38M (But probably not as much). Or move on. QO is the worst of all possible ideas.

    Both Escobar and Dozier would be in this group. I simply cannot understand how people think offering them a QO is a good idea.
