  1. No really, go back and read what you responded to again. That's not what he was asking.
  2. My Astros fan buddy says it's part of the MLB vendetta against them.
  3. He'd have been hosed at second. By ten steps.
  4. Get some jolly ranchers to go with it.
  5. He was asking for suggestions 😆
  6. I'm about half convinced that this is Peters alter-ego burner account.
  7. The Correa deal was an insanely stupid decision? As someone already said, frustrations are understandable, but lets be reasonable.
  8. Never had a chance to get there. Wasn't even an option.
  9. I missed it, what was the error?
  10. SWR went down so it's kinda like a bonus player as he was done for the year.
  11. Counterpoint. Nobody else was ever that good either. An offense that was league average over the last 30 days cruises into the playoffs. The Twins were a bottom 3 offense at the time the pitching needed them most. Nobody had that on their bingo card. An offense at full (Twins) tilt walks away with the division. This roster is good, if flawed just like the rest of them.
  12. The trap doesn't matter really, Correa made the mistake prior to that. The level of little league base running mistakes is baffling. From Correa its mind blowing.
  13. You can do it the true Twins way and claim day to day until the surgery. My mom (70) got a new hip last year after a fall (off a ladder, sheesh mom) and walked out of the appointment same day. I guess they have the procedure so solid it’s an outpatient deal. Crazy stuff. She wobbled walked for a few months but was full speed after 6 months or so. Dog walks are certainly in the future.
  14. Huh? You mean the guy they cut the week he revealed himself to be a problem?
  15. Good read. In the sports context, especially baseball where they are still assigning new numbers for things, it's very easy to lose standard solid decision making. I've often said, analytics isn't having the data-its figuring out which data is important at any given time or situation. Analytics has been part of the game from the beginning. Just more and different data now. Many SABR discussions about did we discover something new or just learn how to quantify something Earl Weaver just did. Much angst among fans comes from not understanding that your coach/FO thinks something is more important than what you think. They usually have more information too.
  16. Very very similar ball just caught for an easy out. Where was Farmer lined up on the other one?
  17. I think that's about where I'm at too. We can't known for sure if they weren't hustling, but it sure as hell looked bad. They may have judged it perfectly and never had a chance but don't put that on tape, as the football coaches say. A team fighting for its life may still not catch that ball, but it sure looks a lot better if they miss it while obviously going all out.
  18. You know anyone the knows ball?
