  1. Gross, why not give Cardenas of the Saints an actual look or you know actually have Rocco put Paredes in a game. Gaspers throws to second base on steals were atrocious, two even sailed. I mean he is not a good pinch hitter, not good at second base, too short for 1st base and not much range at 2nd base. Why are we wasting chances on a guy that is at best a Quad A guy? I know Twins are not really trying to win to close the year so why waste development opportunity on a about 30 year old player. Really disappointing a guy with a 146 batting average being kept over giving Cardenas in St Paul this opportunity.
  2. Royce Lewis was pure bullocks tonight. If this bull bleep try and pull everything swing continues instead of just go with the baseball routine continues, Lewis will continue to stink out the joint. He will stink up Target Field like he did tonight, every night. Rocco needs to not move people around so much.
  3. Fairly evident to everyone except Rocco that Gasper isn't up to the task of hitting mlb pitching.
  4. Sounds like a serious infection. Was there any update from Rocco on the beoadcast or Twins tv. Vasquez has always been a rock solid defensive catcher for the Twins. I know he has younger kids so I hope the Doctors have him on good hands. Appreciate his play and wouldn't mind having him back for the younger pitchers next year. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
  5. You dispute that Gasper has been very underwhelming in plate appearances with a career 167 batting average and seems is limited to contribute at major league level?
  6. Agreed Keaschall looks like he can ball. Gasper none of us get why he is here. Not a good hitter, done nothing at DH, not real good at pinch hithing, and not great at defense. In my mind I would much rather reward an organizational player, draft pick, someone finally putting it together than waste a 26th roster spot on a guy not cutting it at MLB level. There really isn't another roster he would be on. 5 8" guys that do not do anything particularly well are not usually on MLB rosters
  7. I would claim Jorge Alcala back if he becomes available. Why not he still throws hard and the bullpen is thin. Maybe he learned something with his time in Boston.
  8. Personally I feel like Rocco doesn't want to be here anymore or manage the Twins. I think he knows a lot of Twins fans are displeased or do not like him.he has been here years. He is hanging in for the money and want's to be paid to go away. If Twins were interested in development they would let Rocco move on and see of Dinkleman or Gardenhire are ready to move up. Preferably Dinkleman, been very impressed with Wind Surge this season.
  9. Rojas is left handed and looks like he has decent velocity the little bit i watched him. He may make up for losing Varland. and is young. Roden needs to play left field and left field only. He isn't a move around outfied lguy. So far he takes to many good pitches, needs to be more agressive at the plate. He's not top 4 of line-up guy
  10. Todd Waller had zero range, most ground balls hit near him still got through. Juliene is putrid at defense and he still had more range than Walker.
  11. I would take him back. Good role model for younger bullpen arms and guys. Buxton or Vazquez only guys he might know on team.
  12. I doubt that Rocco cares what fans think but there is some truth in this thread. The trade deadline indicated roster development was needed.
  13. I bet a National league team contending would take a flyer to pitch. He would make playoff roster as injury substitution i think if that is still in rules.
  14. Same could be said for Gasper but Rocco keeps him because he is a third catcher. Gasper wouldn't get claimed if Twins designated him. He's 29, a career minor league player, and can't hit MLB pitching. Rocco's pet. I think Funderburk could actually develop into a usable piece.
  15. He's left handed, and can throw some heat so someone will give him a chance if Twins give up on him.
  16. A guy like Tonkin they should really DFA. At his age he probably wants a chance to play on a playoff team, not closing for 4th place Twins team.
  17. Anyone else hoping Rocco shops himself to another franchise this off-season? I hope so. Falvey too.
  18. Exactly, a manager worth anything would see that Gasper and Kiersey jr. are not championship level talent beyond AAA.
  19. Doesn't seem like Twins goal is to either we in games or develop young talent, do it is hard to put a finger on what the goals are. Does seem like franchise is rudderless likeca store clo s ing down.
  20. They shouldn't be bench guys let alone start. Gasper should have been DFA'd.
  21. He seems to lose his mind in MLB at bats.
  22. Baldelli has me so annoyed, I yearn for Gardenhire days of Morneau-zy
  23. Kietsry, Gasper and Baldelli being here all reasons Falvey should be gone. Culture would change and whole team would exhale if Baldelli removed from equation.
  24. Our manager is batting this guy lead off.
  25. Twins fans are quite familiar with blank stare caught looking strikeouts.
