  1. For me Gasper, Kiersey jr, McCusker, Fitzgerald, Tonkin, Hatch, Miranda are all easy drops from 40 man roster. All would go unclaimed on waivers.
  2. I'm hoping Rocco Baldelli choose to pursue other managerial opportunity's, at least that is my hope.
  3. Any trade talk I would want related to any outfielder trades is Lars Nootbaar of the Cardinals. I know he is 28 but he has speed, and plays good defense, BA is average but his home run power is above average. I would rather have Nootbaar than Wallner or Larnach. Probably moot point because I doubt Cardinals want to move him. He is a pesky hitter.
  4. That was a really poor throw by Lewis. Clemmons had a nice pick at 2nd base. Wonder where Keaschall will play next season?
  5. Agreed, he would have helped, as Twins could have used another left-handed pitcher in the pen.
  6. Old friend Caleb Thielbar giving up home runs to the opponent to tie the game in the Cubs and Mets game looks all to familiar from 2024
  7. There is no appaent desire by ownership in Minnesota to even field a competitive team anymore at least no clear explanation for what they did at the trade deadline this year. Team and franchise appear rudderless. Whatever plan they have doesn't seem coherent or conducive to developing a winning team. Another poster suggested Torri Hunter. My outside of the box pick for manager without experience is this guy. AJ Pierzynski. Why him you ask? AJ played for two legends as managers that won the World Series and won a ring himself. He Pierzynsli knows what type of team and player's it takes to win a World Series. He would have a good idea on what coaches are needed from pitching on down. I like how passionate Pierzynski is about baseball as an announcer. Not sure if you could get him to do the job, but one thing Pierzynski would be as a manager is entertaining, and he wouldn't let the player's half ass it, or walk over him as a manager. AJ would be here to make the Twins winners again. I'm not sure he would do it but he is crazy enough to think he can win. Stephen Voght has been pretty good at the gig with the Guardians why don't the Twins bring in a former catcher, not the Hall of Famer either, the hard nosed, agitator.
  8. I wouldn't pay 2 dollars for a Twins ticket right now.
  9. Brooks Lee for a first round pick is pretty mediocre hitter.
  10. Better than Gasper catching any more games.
  11. Twins need a better first basemen next year. Good swing by Naylor but a better defender has a chance at that ball.
  12. How does this make the Twins better on the field is the question? Nobody questions a move towards technology, or videos as a way of scouting, the question is does having less people reviewing data or scouting make the Twins organization better at the major league level.
  13. Why would you eliminate your pro scouting staff? Are they not the one's that do advanced scouting for analytics. Some things cannot be automated or AI generated from analytics software or video. Tendencies like batters eye, backdrops, bats use of bench guys and in stadium viewing when each stadium has different dimensions, lighting, wind direction, some things just require human intelligence to catch minut and individual details and things that a pro scouting department does. This is just short sighted by the Pohlads to just dump their pto scouting staff. Some things can be freelanced but not the same as having your own team gathering intelligence and information. Small details matter in pro sports, things not so obvious can make a difference to a manager or coach in preventing 1 run or gaining 1 run, like a timed pick off move, or time from a pitchers release to a catchers throw. Self scouting your own team and opponent matters. This isn't a great look by Joe Pohlad to just discard the pro scouting staff like they are not making contributions. It is more than cheap it is impetueous, even with changes to the game. They even gather data on minor league call ups, and scout potential talent ads like Cody Clemmons off waivers, that is part of a pro and advanced scouts job. Joe Pohlads craps on everything he does with the Twins. This is beyond being cheap and saving money, it is arrogance. Way to go Discount Joe. This is like not offering condiments with your food offerings level cheap.
  14. How about just dump some of these guys on the 40 man that are out of options, that will not be here next year and give Jenkins and Gozalez a shot to close out year. You know guys slike Eduard Juliene, Jose Miranda, Fitzgerald, Outman etc....
  15. Blind squirrels find a nut some times. Only his 5th hit as a Twin. How many stolen bases has Gasper given up catching, seems like infinity.
  16. Mickey Gasper better not be any where near Twins roster next year or they are not even trying to win. He has no defensive position in MLB., nor is he a good hitter.
  17. I'm gonna say it, after she called Pareda out on a clearly ball 4 count, this Umpire sucks. That call, this umpire doesn't know a strike zone.
  18. Eduard Juliene has about three plays he could have adequately fielded at 1st base tonight he completely whiffed on. Wow this ump doesn't call anything on corners or the black of the plate a strike. Not a fan of this strike zone. Kuechal back to committing errors that flipone at bat into big inning . I don't kniw if he can be counted on to play second base next year.
  19. Am I the only one that want's the Twins to sign Josh Naylor as a free agent to play first base next year. I've always thought he plays a decent first base, and has hit well as an opponent in Target Field. I'm not saying it will happen but Naylor is on my wish list to start at first base for the Twins next year. Hoping Twins go for a quick rebuild and compete for Division and playoffs next year. If we keep Ober, Lopez, Ryan, Matthews and Woods Richardson I thinks Twins already have a competitive rotation. Keep them all healthy and add to the offense a first basemen and rebuild the bullpen and I think Twins could return to competitiveness next year.
  20. I like our rotation next year if Lopez, Ryan, Ober, and Matthews can all stay healthy. Build a bullpen, better back up catcher and a first basemen and things could get better next year.
  21. Gasper is the reason teams run on the Twins. He just simply is not a MLB catcher.
  22. Oh hell, why is Cabrera in the game?
  23. Feckless Falvey will not dump Hatch or Cabrera because that would be admitting his waiver claims blow and he needs to DFA those two. You could throw retired Glen Perkins on the mound and he would pitch better than Hatch and Cabrera. Hatch is stinko Malenko.
