  1. I don't know what you just said so I'm going to smile and give you my lunch money.
  2. The original post was about Mauer and Puckett. At the end of Mauer's career, I think he will be HOF worthy too. He just doesn't have the personality that Puckett did. Plus, Mauer hasn't won in big games while making "the" play. I hope he gets that chance.
  3. In a recent chat, Callis wrote: Jim Callis: Fully recovered from elbow surgery that held him back in 2011, Arcia has looked terrific this year. He continues to show the potential for a solid bat with plus power, and he has made improvements in controlling the strike zone. He could be a solid regular, maybe more. The ceilings for Sano, Buxton and Hicks all seem to have higher upside. I see your point, but at the same time you are selling what Arcia did this year too low. Sano has the chance to not just be an All-Star, but a special player. Buxton is far too young and inexperienced to rank above Arcia at this point and Hicks is 1.5 years older than Arcia and finally put up a good season..... but it still wasn't as good as Arcia's.

  5. I vote for who I believe in. I will be voting for Ron Paul no matter what. I don't care if my vote is wasted.
  6. I'd disagree. Arcia has had great results but his upside (from what I understand) is a solid RFer whereas Sano, Hicks and Buxton could all be all stars or more and none of them have shown reasons to rate them lower at this time. Why can't Arcia be an All-Star? I'm pretty sure if he can't post an OPS over 900 he'll be in the running...
  7. Why do you think that? They are the same age and Santana clearly outperformed him in an entire year's worth of playing time.
  8. People need to stop acting like medical professionals are Gods that know how to send a rocket to the moon. I don't really care how much experience they have since I've seen plenty of experienced idiots in my lifetime. These people aren't untouchable. None of us know exactly what is going on because we are all on the outside looking in, but it sure doesn't look very good to me. Nick, you can account bad luck or whatever you want, but that is clearly turning the other cheek. I'm not sure if the Twins need to fire people, but anyone that doesn't admit something has to be done is in denial. Everyone should be kept to standard and there has been too many situations that leave questions unanswered to give anyone the benefit of the doubt at this point. Needless to say, I'm not a fan of this article for a number of reasons.
  9. Can we start placing bets on the amount of losses yet? *so mad about Slama right now, don't dare comment about the negativity
  10. I can understand Guerra, maybe he is still dinged up. But Slama!!!! AAAhhhh I ****ing hate this management! I don't care what anyone says about "not knowing." We don't know the whole story blah blah. He dominated and doesn't even get a September call-up? They think Escobar and Perdomo might have a future but Slama clearly doesn't? My fury is hardly containable. Please Pohlad, clean this **** storm up. Your product is disgusting and the people making decisions are clearly inept.
  11. Free Slama..... and let him Slama the door!
  12. Santana had 800 OPS in August. I worry about his fielding a little, and his base stealing, but he looks like he can hit. Michael had an average end to the year. He walks a decent amount, but the power numbers just aren't there. I assumed he's start hitting for some more power after June, but that was about all he had. He has the OBP and fielding going for him, but other than that he didn't show much. Sanatana on the other hand showed improvement in many areas of his game. His offense improved across the board from last year and errors have decreased. Has to be considered a positive year for Santana.
  13. I really don't think so since they have a guy that OPS over 1.000 in AAA this year and plays a decent 1b. He should be moved this offseason, but it will probably be at the deadline next year (or they let him walk if in contention).
  14. Plouffe!!!! That had to feel good for him.
  15. Did it again Parker. One more time and I'm flagging you for it.
  16. Exactly my take, with the exception of Sanchez. I'm not sure the Twins would be able to swing that, but if they could I'd be all for it. This would be a playoff team with these additions.
  17. Wow, Sano has had an awesome August. He had a terrible June, but a decent July and great August are a good sign he is adjusting.
  18. Gibson in AAA! He didn't have a great outing, but doesn't matter really. Hopefully the next starts go better.
  19. The Rochester jokes are getting old mates.
  20. Guilt: the first symptom of somebody who has been sexually assaulted.
  21. Confused, the Twins and A's played a game of cricket on Sunday. Unfortunately for the Twins, the game actually counted.
  22. I have a few questions about those topics. First, how strict are they? For example, #2. There are already language filters and I swear because I know the filters will pick it up. Are you talking about changing texts to avoid these filters? On #4, sometimes posters copy and paste insider articles or BP articles that you need subscriptions to view. Is this no longer acceptable? If so, I'm against that number. #7 is also vague and doesn't stress what you're looking for. Instead of saying "anything else," just say you reserve the right to modify/deleted any comment that is deemed out of the character for this site. That is a kind of blanket statement that covers everything and you can add more specific things as needed.
  23. His last chance? He's barely had a chance yet. A 23 yo that has had a 2 ERA the whole year in AAA, and you want it to be his last chance? I don't understand this.
  24. Keith Law Loves Sano part 1?
  25. Arcia, Hicks, Benson and its not even close at this point. Call me maybe in 3 years when the other 3 have had success at higher levels.
