Who is Ron Jeremy? What have you been watching?
  2. h2oface
And that is something to look forward to to?
  3. h2oface
Damn.. Now 5 announcers. Play by play be damned. All they need now is an all inning Audra fluff.
  4. h2oface
5 player LOB for Fedko. 7 team total after 3. Can this continue all game? Surely not, eh?
  5. h2oface
2 too many in the announcing booth today……
  6. h2oface
That was a game breaker moment. 5 LOB already. A lot of Cleveland charity in that inning not taken advantage of of.
  7. h2oface
This Fedko hope is getting tried. So overmatched.

We will have a short month to see if Jeffers is back. I remember staff writers promoting his challenge record and his bat was potent as well. Caratini is owed 10 million next year when 33/34. Can you remember how fast Vazquez cratered? I would rather go QO if they can’t extend Jeffers, and take the draft pick. Like the Braves did with Freddie Freeman in 2021. 5 games under at end of July and vital to the improbable World Series win. Unless they can turn Jeffers into Sonny Gray for the rest of the season…… Cards paid Boston 20 million in the trade as they restructured his deal that has a 10 million buyout of a mutual option. The clipboard manager is gone now so maybe Gray would be interested.

And…. A 34 year old pitcher they paid 7 million who could barely take the field (8 total innings due to injury in the shortened 2020 season), Homer Bailey. He did have 2 no-hitters with Cincinnati,

If Buxton is out for a couple weeks, that means the entire starting AL All-Star outfield selected is out and won’t be playing. Bummer.

The only thing that would have been more satisfying would be have been a sweep to give the Yankees a 10 game losing streak! Remember the 2021 Braves that looked horrible all the way to the end of July, and 5 games under .500? Eddie Rosario does! Full of injured stars, some out for the season, a few supposedly washed up vets were acquired cheaply, and they won the World Series. Anything can happen unless you totally give up and decimate your team.

I guess the weather was more fair, today……
  13. h2oface
Fedko. Last play of game….. and time on team?
  14. h2oface
There goes the shutout….. and the run differential!
  15. h2oface
If they lose now ………. 😇
  16. h2oface
Time to trade him for new minor league potential and let him be an All-Star for another team, yet? 😇

2022 MLB Draft 8. Brooks Lee 48. Connor Prielipp 63. Jacob Misiorowski 78 Roman Anthony BOS 98 Alan Roden TOR A lot of Teams/Scouting personnel missed that one.

Apologies. Not judging degrees of fandom. I don’t think I did any ratings. Just trying to express my cringe trigger when I see Twinkies and Twinks. I get it mostly from Yankee fan friends in a bullying manner. That’s on them. Great song provided by The Baseball Project…… who have about 5 LPs of original baseball songs since the early aughts.

Japan and Korea calling. Time to make some money.

Glad to hear crickets today from the “head cases” that want to get rid of the now 2 time All-Star, Joe Ryan. And his selection isn’t a mandatory Castro pick.
  21. h2oface
Now THAT was how a challenge should be used. Good job, Volpe! Significant change in at bat. Saved a poorly called K!
  22. h2oface
The butler! No searches since at least May, eh? 😇 The website itself officially retired on May 1, 2026. Parent company IAC shut down the search business completely, ending nearly 30 years of web operation that began in 1996.
  23. h2oface
Hey, no calling for Ryan’s head today!
  24. h2oface
Well, no derogatory effect to Bell’s at bat this time. An outlier….. like Lewis’ 0-1 lost challenge yesterday (or recently, didn’t check if yesterday but that is what I remember) that he singled on with two strikes. Challenge System will soon be replaced by total, but as long as they are important in the present, they shouldn’t be used unless the game or at bat can truly be greatly affected, especially early in the game. My opinion. They are very valuable, and not trite.
  25. h2oface
Impressive. Not like you were around in the hay-days of the 60s. A studied fan!
