  1. Clemens has been clutch and hitting, so pull him for McCusker. Baldelli ball at its finest. And Clemens is 1-4 against lefties this year, with two walks. Best pull him for the righty/lefty religion. No regard to defense, I guess.
  2. .500 team in the last six games. Only 3 hits off Littell. I hope things aren't back to normal. Stewart has only basically had one really good run in MLB. That was the 27.2 innings in 28 games with the sparkling .068 era for the Twins in 2023. 2017 for the Dodgers was good, 34.1 innings at 3.41 era in 14 games, 4 started. The rest of his career...... pretty pedestrian to bad. The one season is looking like a real outlier, other that not being able to stay on the field way too often. The Twins sure think he will be a savior again.
  3. Two inherited runners. Two inherited runners scored. Immediately.
  4. Slow reaction and then just fell over as he stepped. Sure looked like he stumbled to me, You would think that is a range Correa would normally have.
  5. Shhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Shut up already, Cody. 😇 Do you really want to give other teams information that reduces the upcoming trade value? Best case scenario - Paddack continues to roll, and saves any tanking until after the trade.
  6. Sure. It has to be called one way or another. In a world that "the umpire is always right", usually comprised of some past umpires (not all, because many past umpires know that they were guessing the best they could) too proud of themselves to admit that a tie can happen but they have to call it one way or the other............sure. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a tie in reality. The tie goes to the runner was an old little league standard, said here a joke. But it was a suggestion in several umpiring courses that I took at different (lower and non-professional) levels through the years. And the proof was posted of the plate umpire calling the two pitches strikes that were in almost the exact location, and weren't even very close to being strikes.
  7. The righty/lefty religion. Batting Lewis and Bride 4 and 5? Lewis is 0-17 again. If the righties can't hit, no need not to give hotter lefties a shot at the same handed pitcher.
  8. Except Castro's fielding is inadequate no matter where he plays. And last year was his peak at the plate. (I see the future 😇 )
  9. Lewis is looking more and more like Danny Valencia. One half season splash, and downhill from there. He needs to be sent to St. Paul tomorrow, but Bride to replace him? Miranda? Amazing this team is winning as much as they are. Clemens a real surprise and help. This team has to hit. 3-2 against KC and Cleveland. 3 hits today. And Duran can't put them down without contact. On an 0-2 pitch.
  10. It dropped out of zone. He shouldn't be able to hit that pitch. But he did. Contact against Duran.
  11. So much contact against Duran. It may be fouls, or weak contact, or whatever, but the bats touch his balls. And the pitches are moving. Mysterious to me.
  12. Say what? How about calling obvious balls strikes? As I said....... same location to different handed batters giving strikes to both team's pitchers.
  13. Tie goes to the runner a thing of the past.
  14. I guess it doesn’t matter whether that location is inside to a righty or outside to the lefty. To this ump, 2-4 inches off the plate is a strike there. Consistency is still wrong.
  15. Umpires missing inside middle calls looking straight on at the ball right over the inside shoulder…… the best reason to go to the bots.
  16. Maybe Lewis could try not swinging at all and see if he can walk. Lewis and Bride batting 4 and 5 ……..must be a secret stat calling.
  17. They want Keirsey and Bride and McCusker around to make Lewis feel better. That was a good pitch By Ober. Just out of zone. Good situational hitting.
  18. Seems a waste. Regardless of how he hits or doesn’t hit, I read day off Sunday and they want him to get through back to back games healthy, and then join team.
  19. Lewis, Bride, and McCusker. .161,(0 for last 15) .195, and .000. A real Sunday lineup for Ober. Lefty/Righty religion, no matter what. McCusker’s best chance to breakthrough, nonetheless.
  20. Remember when they would put the game winning hero on their shoulders to honor them instead of of pouring cold sticky Gatorade all over them or shaving cream in their face? Probably not.
  21. Could we have more speed on the bases than Correa and Jeffers?
  22. Could have used Keirsey as the runner now. Correa is the slowest.
  23. Scary. That will get your blood pressure up.
