    This is like 2015 and Molitor just kept sending Perkins out, and you knew it was futile and over and what would happen. Only now it is Baldelli and Rogers, but Rogers is not even hurt.

    So pathetic and inept. Cave swinging at ball four. Buxton not even advancing but getting picked off. I really am not like my team much. How is the escape and relaxation going for all that said here that that is what baseball is for?

    Analytics may get you the playoffs, but it won't win you the playoffs and the series. It may lose it for you, though.

    How a batter watches a 93 mph fastball with no movement go by right down the pipe, center center, and then swings at and dribbles a change up dropping out instead always amazes me.

    I hate these lame interviews that distract from the game. Shut the F up!!!! Let us see the game.

    This is the post season. Kenta should have fought to stay in the game. Baldelli shouldn't have made him, though. He should have checked in with Kenta, and if he was good to go, let him at least start the 6th inning and see how it goes. Even if the Twins would have won, Baldelli used all the top relievers as it was.... that is, it you consider Romo a top reliever, which I don't. Not a great managing strategy.

    Falvey is now 0-5 in the postseason. Baldelli is 0-4. So they are becoming a pretty substantial part of the 17 game record postseason losing streak - Falvey 29% of it and Baldelli is attached to 23.5% of it.

    Before the this apotheosis goes too far, let us remember after game one loss in this year's Wild Card round, Falvey is now 0-5 in the postseason. Baldelli is 0-4. So they are becoming a pretty substantial part of the 17 game record postseason losing streak - Falvey 29% of it and Baldelli is attached to 23.5% of it.

    That wasn't an error, that was a travesty. That was a throw a little leaguer could make.

    Maybe so. Of course, you could buy the best closer/pitcher and then they suck or get hurt..... or make a physical error that loses the whole thing. But if you are paid to be a baseball star, you are paid to not make physical errors. In fact, they may be the easiest not to make, in my opinion. You are paid and hired to perform, and eliminate errors, ideally. That said.... I have never been impressed with this overperforming 'stat' pen. I watched them blow too many games.
