Yes, I definitely plan on running it again next year. I think I start asking people to submit them around Dec 15th. Keep your eye out for a 2013 thread.

Pekovic, Roy, and Barea all still out tonight. The Wolves will have 9 players. They're pretty lucky that the schedule has been weaker these first few games and they have still been winning. Hope that continues tonight vs Charlotte.

Lost Pekovic to an ankle injury last night and still won (now at 5-2). Kirilenko, Shved, and Cunningham have been outstanding. This team is incredibly unlucky with the injury bug right now with Rubio, Love, Pek, Budinger, Barea, Roy all out. Hopefully Pekovic's ankle is not too serious and it sounds like Roy and Barea may return on Wednesday.

Funny, Slama had a 4.4 BB/9 rate at AAA as well, yet had a K/9 rate of 13.6.

I didn't see this being discussed in any threads. More of the same... http://www.1500espn.com/sportswire/Twins_announce_more_moves_to_minor_league_and_training_staff110112

I was reading about the murder of 80's pitcher Pascual Perez. It referenced that he had received his MLB pension the previous day. I had no idea that MLB had such a generous pension plan. A player only needs to be on a MLB roster for 43 days to receive a pension of $34,000 and typically a 10 year veteran can expect to receive around $185,000 a year for his pension. Also, if any player is on a MLB for 1 day, he receives lifetime health benefits. http://hypersapien.hubpages.com/hub/Americas-Best-Retirement-Plan-Athletes-Pensions-in-Professional-Sports

No, but they are who we thought they were. Let's face it.....Other than then the SF win, the Vikings victories have come against some very mediocre teams. They'll be in the middle of the pack this year, like 8-8 or 7-9, and will pick about 14th, 15th in the draft. Certainly an improvement on last year.

Three words: Anthony Slama Petition Why has there been zero response?
  12. Musk21
No one had Alex Karras or Beano Cook.

My theory is that the Twins still want Gardy as the manager, but that he threatened to walk if they let Andy go.

    :-(

Musk21 replied to kydoty's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk

What a devastating thing to have happen. I can't even imagine. Certainly puts things in perspective.

He won't get his chance here. As a minor league FA, it would be foolish for him to resign with the Twins. I don't understand why they wouldn't have just cut him if they had no intention of giving him an opportunity with the Twins.

I'm looking forward to taking my kids. I went to the '85 HR Derby and AS Game at the Dome and for an 8 year old it didn't get much better then that (Other than maybe a WS championship at 11 and 15!).
  19. Musk21
Maybe it will take some getting used to, but not a fan of the new font at all. Also for some reason this is running along the top when I use Firefox: '); var sidebar_align = 'right'; var content_container_margin = parseInt('278px'); var sidebar_width = parseInt('258px'); //-->

Why, is TD owned by ESPN?
  22. Musk21
US Bank? Mall of America again? General Mills?

    Congrats Brock!

Nope, no one had either one.
