No one had longtime Red Sox player/manager Johnny Pesky, who died today at the age of 92.
  2. Musk21
Ron Davis had some epic blown saves, but if you look at his numbers, he doesn't warrant "Worst Twin Ever" status.
  3. Musk21
Does Nishioka deserve consideration at this point? Who are some other nominees? Terry Felton is probably right up there.
  4. Musk21
No one had author Gore Vidal, who died at the age of 84.

I think what Joe C. was trying to convey was the opposite. That maybe now IS the time to deal a Willingham or Span. Maybe even Burton or Perkins.

Their value is too high for the Twins to part with them at this time. On the other hand, word is they're willing to move Blackburn or Gray.
  7. Musk21
    And we've got a 4th thread....
  8. Musk21
The Twins have such respect for their players that they ask them if it would be okay before trading them.

Something tells me that the Twins don't think of these 2 as "a crappy arm and a crappy Punto-esqe infielder" even if scouting reports tell us otherwise.

I've gotta agree with Nick here. If, as reports have indicated, there were multiple teams interested in Liriano, then I find it extremely hard to believe that there wasn't a slightly better or even comparable package offered outside of the division. I'm sure the Twins are in love with Escobar's glove though.

I would definitely browse more frequently on my phone if there was a mobile version or if it was more easy to browse/post on a smartphone,

No one had any of these (Lynn, Hemsley, Ride, Covey, Chad Everett) on their list.

Wait 'til Andy gets his hands on him.

I second all 4 of these suggestions. Too few forums and unclear what is "read" and "unread."

I guess God's plan for him was to turn down almost $4 million in hopes of an extra few million next year. God is great! And works in mysterious ways!
  16. Musk21
I've gotta wholeheartedly agree with this. At what point is he no longer considered a "potential ace?" If you include this year's stats (which by the way are almost exactly in line with his numbers last year), he's been pretty terrible 3 out of the last 4 years.

Supposedly he underwent the same "platelet-rich plasma knee therapy" that Kobe flew to Germany for. Hopefully he can play 20 solid minutes a game.

per Rhett Bollinger....Deduno to start Saturday vs TEX.
  20. Musk21
This. He's finally recouped some trade value, so it's time to get something decent for him and move on.
  21. Musk21
There's been a lot of chatter linking Greinke to the Braves, but clearly the price is quite a bit steeper for him. They just might decide to roll the dice on Liriano instead.

Iguodala did just sell his house in Philly today and the Sixers drafted a SF.

http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/06/brewers-to-sign-livan-hernandez.html I'll give him a pass as he kindly tossed my son a ball from the bullpen in AZ this year, but I'm surprised he keeps getting chances.
  25. Musk21
    I don't even recognize you.
