  1. So if you are including the players signed by Clark Griffith, players developed by the White Sox, that is fine. If you want to include players with 5 year careers that is fine. Under 11 war is hall of pretty good. Pohlad Gets Knoblach, Koskie, Hunter, Jones AJ, Radke, Scott Erickson, Scott Baker, LaTroy Hawkins, Span, Cuddyer. Heck, even Kyle Loshe and and Matt Garza had better careers than Boswell.
  2. BOGO turned out to be buy one get Ohl free. Well, i was close on the BOGO comment. . Maybe Washington will come through on a clearance sale.
  3. The trades cited are almost reasons not to trade. The return for Gore reminds me of the return for Johan. The return for Perralta was a back of the rotation type pitcher and a ranked prospect falling down the rankings. The pitcher could end up contribute to winning. The position player could contribute to whining
  4. He did say optimistic. At their near ceiling level of play and staying healthy, the guess is possible. Doubtful,
  5. The he is from Minnesota bit is interesting. Do you think the people on this site think Forrest Lake is in Canada or is it because Wallner played his college ball down south he is no longer a Minnesotan? He certainly doesn’t get the love that Varland does
  6. Morneau, Santana, and even Buxton had HOF careers altered by injuries. Nathan should be in as a reliever, Ortiz was developed by the twins. HOF as a measure of drafting and developing is a very limiting way to determine how good a development team is. Considering that a HOF career is usually of the 12-15 year variety and it takes a few years of development on the front side plus 6-16 on the backside of a career to get in. 42 years is a small window.
  7. The few times I have read the writers just for fun it does not seem all that much different than their usual writing
  8. When something looks like a mistake it actually might be a mistake. You would know if you looked it up
  9. On average fangraphs is off by 8. As trades are made after rankings come out and rookies are hard to project, variance is going to happen if a team goes into tank/sell mode that would increase the variance.
  10. Gonzalez was ranked the full out of the rankings after injuries in 24. The ranking people do not like people who get injured. He was out some in 25. Rankings are not solely based on talent.
  11. Don’t expect the people here to understand that concept
  12. I hear there is a Twins BOGO free sale on corner outfielders. Yup Buy One,Get Outman free
  13. They have pitchers they need to trade for relievers or make relievers out of them.
  14. In 6 years he has not thrown what would be a minimal season’s worth of pitching. It would be nice for him to be a starter. He would run out of option years long before he could ever get built up to starter level innings.
  15. They finally labeled their story correctly. The irony is that this story is more correct than mot have been.
  16. In light that the argument is does .06 seconds faster really matters bring in totally unrelated arguments should be beneath you.
  17. So you don’t understand statistical significance, got it
  18. Straw man is you saying you claiming it matters without proof that throwing speed is the true difference maker over every other skill in turning a double play., and 0.06 seconds faster matters
  19. Only if he came up with a player on base and his HB to first speed was elite on that once a week occasion
  20. I’d that your way of saying you can’t figure out how to get AI to tell you if your data is statistically significant? Do you even understand what statistical significance is?
  21. The definition of. AAAA players used to be Sean Burroughs. That is extended failure at the MLB level while still being able to perform at a high level in AAA Now it is whatever suits your argument.
  22. Sorry that the Twins are what they are. It was pretty evident from the end of the season there wasn’t going to be a big splash. When Fanduel sports missed contract payments league wide would have tighter belts as eight more cash cows ended. The math for the “invest in the team” idea shows that it will not work
