  1. Hell hath frozen over. Chief doth expand his vocabulary.
  2. Welp, that's that. Bring on 2018!
  3. Getting May back as a viable starter mid-season is just like making a trade. /snark
  4. Rally Monkey. With two broken legs.
  5. I've got nothing against Gardy, but I am soooooooooo glad the good 'ol boys club finally got broken up in the Twins org.
  6. Awesome finish, but now I'm tired.
  7. OMFG it just won't end.
  8. And here I thought this game couldn't get any crazier.
  9. Posting this for the multiple-ith time. (yes, that's a word)
  10. Watched this one again, well worth the multiple laughs that ensued.
  11. I'm going to pioneer a national flip your bat at work day. OSHA may not approve, but they've never been fun anyway.
  12. Took a long time, but a hell of a finish.
  13. No one wants to win this game, incredible.
  14. Other than a gigantic pile of games and an AL pennant, you're absolutely right, they haven't won ****.
  15. I think you're wrong. I think you're wrong. I think you're wrong. I almost have myself convinced! Can't speak for others, but I don't watch commercials, ever. I either leave the room to do something, or just flip the channel to something else. When it comes to repetition, I'd be far more likely to be influenced by something I see in short spurts more frequently than I do something in a longer ad sporadically. I would be far less likely to disappear between innings, or pitching changes, etc, if I knew the downtime was very minimal, and far more likely to be seeing any advertising.
  16. McKinnon pulls a Diggs, slows up before getting into the endzone and about gets caught off-guard by a defender. *sigh* Thankfully it's the Bears, and they're not good.
  17. Man, that 1960 team was something else though... ...from what Chief tells me.
  18. No arguments here, I'd love to have Lindor, and he'd certainly be on my short list to start a franchise with.
  19. I so hope you're right. I wasn't exactly huge on Rosario's offensive profile coming into the season, but he made huge strides. As Brock alluded to, he doesn't have to be super-disciplined at the plate to be a really good offensive player, he just has to minimize those extreme problems, his talent can take care of the rest.
  20. Well it's not really a prediction (and I'm not really responding to you, just to the thread in general). B-Ref on that summary just uses flat figures for every player based upon their service time and the league averages over the prior three seasons. So a 2nd year stud arb player would account for the same figure as a minor league journeyman with the same amount of service.
  21. The dual-nature of the xxxx cannot be understated in this instance.
  22. I don't see any way you don't take Trout #1. Six seasons, all of them easily MVP-caliber or better. Just 2 years older than Lindor. Non-Trout division, I could see there being a good discussion on who's #1.
  23. I went with 'No', but not with a whole lot of conviction.
