  1. I guess I am in the minority, we were not going to win big with what we had. The only player I wish we had kept was Varland everybody else I was ok with. We got a lot of arms in the deals and maybe a few will be good. If the new owners spend a little on free agents the Twins CAN ACTUALLY be a real contender in short time
  2. Trade Correra let Lewis play short
  3. They need an outfielder who bats righthanded and Buxton is not doing the job. They should ask Arizona about Gurriel, he is not even starting for Arizona. It might not cost too much since he would be a rental.
  4. I have not seen so many swings at pitches over thier heads since the last beginners little league game that I went to.
  5. How much longer do we have to watch Gallo and Kepler strike out ? Cut bait and let Larnach and Wallner develope. They might not do any better, but they might have a future.
  6. I guess I am in the minority. I like this team. We have some youngsters on the way and if we could have a season with good health I thinkk we can contend.
  7. I do not think Ohtani will be a Twin next year. I also am not sure what a trade package would be. If the Angels decide they cannot pay him, there is no way they can expect to get back equal value. No team will trade their ace and best hitter. So the Twins might not have to give up as much as you might think, but no way are the Twins going to sign him.

  9. wishful thinking. Pitch around Corea and the rest of this lineup is minor league level.
  10. Bundy has been fine for what he was asked to do, but he is not part of the future. If they fall further behind it might be time to say goodby to Bundy and Archer and go with Winder, Ober, or Varland to finish the year.
  11. The Twins need an impactful trade. If they are not able to get a front line pitcher or reliable back end relievers there is no reason to trade prospects. They should trade veterans who are not of their future.
  12. Any trade for a major league known quantity for unknown minor league prospects is worth making
  13. Imagin Kendricks, Talor and Pressly. What could have been.
  14. Ten Years ! Unbelievable . I enjoy the site and visit almost everyday. Thank you all for your tireless effort reporting on our favorite team.
  15. Pineda for sure, then one of Danny Duffy or Dylan Dundy, plus Sydergaard

    offseason

This is my first effort and it will not be long. What a difference a year makes. Last off season we couldn't wait for the year to begin. Most of us viewed the roster to be solid and the pitching to be ok. We mostly thought that the pitching coaching staff could piece together a good bullpen with the additions that were made. We know how that went. We had fun spending money on the players we thought would make us contenders on the Twins Daily work sheet. Expectation was high that this could be the year we won a playoff series if not more. This off season we face a lot of questions about next years roster. the CBA needs to be worked out so the FO knows what rules they have to go by to fill out a roster that can compete next year. WE have several players that need to evaluated and determine to keep, offer, or trade. Anyway this off season is a lot different than last season but still gives us plenty to talk and write about. thank you for this forum.
  17. Buxton is the big question. They should make their best offer early and if he does not sign he should bring back a good package in trade. Maybe he bring in a capable arm or two.
  18. I would hope they take a chance on a hard throwing arm in the rule 5 draft. Stick him at the back of the bullpen an hope you find a gem.
  19. Thank you so much for doing this. I am sure the off season will be interesting if a CBA can be agreed to, and I sure your coverage will be great. Again thank you very much.
  20. If the front office does not think they can resign Buxston, they might see if San Diego would give up C J Abrams and MacKenzie Gore
  21. By all means, if he is unhappy here and will not sign a new deal, trade him to the highest bidder
