I think anyone bashing the Nationals for their gameplan with him are absolutely insane. Strasburg has a hall of fame potential, and there is zero reason to risk losing him permanently. The NL East should be very winnable for the next few seasons as the Phillies are a mess, the Mets are the Mets and the Braves never want to win anything, in addition the Nationals should only be getting stronger moving forward. At the end of the day Strasburg is the nationals property, they need to do what is best to make sure that property gets its maximum value. ESPN had that bumbling idiot Tim Mcarver on Sporstscenter and he was bashing the Nationals. On another note, I sort of hope McCarver has some deviant sex scandal come to light, since fox seems content on keeping his dumb ass on national TV for every single playoffs.

Especially not in low A ball. AAA or the majors if the team is currently stacked with MI at the major league level? Sure, but in low A ball there is zero reason to unless the guy just doesn't have the ability. Also apparently he takes grounders before every game, basically he appears to be an emergency option at 2B (much like Cuddyer last year). It only takes one missed double play or botched play a game to basically reverse any sort of good will you did offensively.

I like the move, Gardy indicated that he wanted Dozier to not get to comfortable being in the majors, Dozier has looked downright bad in the majors this year. (not all his fault) A few weeks riding the bus to crappy stadiums with 4,000 people might motivate him a bit to not blow it next time he gets a chance to play on the Twins.

I disagree totally, as someone who only reads about 10% of the "blogs" at this site, I find that image to be awesome, since it highlights the top 4 or 5 stories worth reading about. As someone who worked a long time at gawker media, let me tell you you are doing the right thing by keeping that up!

I think the following is a good guideline for how one should act on this forum: If you wouldn't say something to someone's face in real life, you probably shouldn't allow it. I agree that personal attacks/name calling generally should not be allowed. But if I was watching the game last night with a friend, family member, random person at the bar and they said "holy hell, Dick Bremer is a racist for blah blah blah" I would most certainly respond to them with "Wow, your an idiot" or worse. I mean, the topic itself is just so absurd! And everyone other than the OP seems to agree with that notion.

And then was renamed - but you're correcting him. He'll take that personally rather than listen to well-meaning advice. Best not to try. I find it comical that they take the whole "this is a discussion worth having" while banning anyone who calls the OP an idiot, which he most certainly is. If only a certain "narf" figure could bring back some respectability to such a topic. We should put up the bat signal at ESPN/Rubechat.

The original thread popped up on a Saturday night, when we all happened to be busy. Detestable, I know. When John got home he posted a response and locked the thread. The next morning, someone starts a NEW thread continuing the topic, and now there's four pages of discussion on it. It's not our job to dictate what people talk about, only to moderate and keep things relatively clean. Obviously for whatever reason this is something people continually seem to want to discuss. I'm not sure why you're complaining about the site managers when you are the one that willfully made the decision to read through this thread despite knowing full well what you were getting into when you clicked on it. It actually popped up last night (Monday)

Now is NOT the time to trade away Parmelee. It's not like he is being blocked by a guy on a 10 year contract at first base, Morneau has a year left, there is a good chance he is traded sometime in 2013. Span has a decent shot to be traded as well, but if they head into 2013 with everyone still around, then leaving Parm in AAA for a few months until someone inevitably gets traded or injured isn't the worst thing in the world. This is the kind of logic that caused the Twins to trade away Wilson Ramos for Fatt Crapps, "oh hey we have a catcher already, no need to keep Ramos around!" -

Willingham, Morneau, Mauer and prob even Doumit need to be in the lineup everyday (or as close to as possible) at this point. -
It would get some more traffic around here, plus there would be an uptick in that key 20-30 year old black males that I know Twins Daily so deperatly yearns for. Good point, plus FUBU (is that still around?) would finally start running ads on the site.

Looks like Wilson is going to win the starting gig in Seattle. With that said, if Ponder sucks this year and Wilson becomes the man in Seattle, would it be worth the Vikes taking a look at Matt Flynn heading into next off-season? I'd have to imagine he could be had for a third rounder or so.

He has to be a ton better on offense, and their is no speculative about it. Casilla is a damn solid MI, Mastro is not. You can hide a poor fielder at RF/LF/1B and even 3B. You absolutely can't hide one for SS/2B/CF. For a pitch to contact team like the Twins you really can't be rolling out bad defenders at key positions.

Actually it isn't even close to what Delmon did in NYC. Delmon committed a hate crime. I'm not sure if this is a troll, or if you are really so dense that you actually believe this. Either way its just pathetic.
