  1. Yeah I am a big fan of how they are using it this year too, I think they realize that having a guy sit for 4-5 games, then play another 10 games even at 90% is less than ideal, I like how they are putting guys on the DL and letting them heal fully. In re: toe Schafer, I have to imagine that if he was healthy enough to play he would be raising a stink, the Twins owe him that money either way, no? So wouldn't he be best off just taking a DFA and trying to catch on somewhere else even in AAA? (Whether for the Twins or another team)?
  2. Doctor Beauchamp?
  3. Yeah the mobile ads are now a huge issue as well, a lot are auto expand and they literally block 2 or 3 posts in a thread.
  4. Yeah, there is certainly a space for Rosario on a major league roster somewhere eventually, I doubt the Twins get some primo talent in return for a trade for him, but maybe they could get a high risk/change of scenery high reward ex prospect or something (Think a Mike Montgomery type)
  5. I'm not sure why everyone is going all "Bush did 9/11" on the Hicks DL thing. A lot of times swelling/soreness don't set in until 24 hours later, for all we know Hicks was hurt a bit and was going to try to see if the soreness or issue subsided by gametime the next day, something obviously didn't heal so the Twins decided rather then going with an even more small and embarrassing bench it was best to put him on the DL. If these DL stints weren't legitimate I imagine the players agents and more importantly the players union would be up in arms about it. Especially when it comes to a veteran like Nolasco who has a lot of guaranteed dollars and a guy like Hicks who believe it or not still has a ton of upside which plenty of clubs would be more than happy to be playing everyday (in AAA or the majors)
  6. University of Washington. It's certainly no University of Oklahoma, and that is a very good thing.
  7. I still think Hicks becomes a somewhat better version of Jacque Jones for this club, better in the field and ultimately similar at the plate hopefully without a huge discrepancy like Jones in terms of splits. I still think Rosario Buxton Hicks is the OF of the next 4-5 years for this club and helps bring them back to the promised land. Arica/Vargas etc can compete for DH.
  8. Hitting 9th, I like it. Let dozier, Rosario, mauer and plouffe drive him in.
  9. I will be at my brothers college graduation following a bit on MLB at bat app when button is up, damn over achiever finishing in 4 years, should have taken the Extra semester victory lap like his older brother
  10. My guess 6 for 7, 4 HR 11 RBI, 7 diving catches. Twins lose 13-12.
  11. I still think hicks finds his bat and becomes a close to average hitter but a great LF or RF with Buxton in CF and becomes an asset for the next several years. He looks better at the plate IMHO, some guys just take a while
  12. I'd much rather have the twins go to a 6 man batting order
  13. I am getting warm to the idea of firguing out how to trade for Tulo which really kills two birds with one stone
  14. Except both of those teams will likely be buyers as well.
  15. Even if he makes that catch I put the twins odds at winning that game at like 20%
  16. Hicks has been pretty great in CF thus far, errors will happen (and that wasn't a can of corn anyway) This is a reason why you need RP who can actually strike a guy out once in awhile, also I am much more concerned with the disappearance of the offense, hard to win many games when you arescoring 2 or less runs a game.
  17. Good leaders often get them selves suspended for two games when their team needs them the most! Good work Torii! Never stop throwing a tantrum like a teenager from time to Time, maybe you can do us a real favor and take a swing at plouffe and hit one of our RP instead
  18. He shouldn't be suspended, I'm guessing a 10k fine.
  19. I dunno, Molitor had been chirping all night, most umps I think we run him the minute he ran out and started yelling.
  20. It's an automatic ejection if the Manager comes out to argue balls and strikes.
  21. I thought it was a little cheesy and over the top, but Hunter had good right to be upset, that called third strike was "retaliation" call bc Hunter was complaining about the 2nd pitch
  22. Autoplay autosound fashion week video ad (2 minutes long) that pops up every time I visit here..........
  23. You are just best off releasing him at this point. Some NL team might grab him eventually, but no real reason to try to even sneak him through to AAA. What I am wondering about is why the Twins continue to think they need 13 pitchers...
  24. Fwiw .815 would be the 2nd best OPS on this team. Buxton is ready for a call up, not a doubt in my mind.
  25. Nobody is saying you need to bring up the whole AA roster, the twins however are 1/3rd of the season in and still "in it", talk patience all you want for a rebuild but the twins have been a dumpster fire for the past several years before 2015, how many years should a team with a 90-105 million dollar payroll be patient? 5 years? 6? 10? Nunez is awful Stauffer is terrible (and gone mercifully) Robinson is awful duensing needs to accept a trip to AAA Hermann is worse then Butera There is literally no excuse for these players to be on this current roster.
