  1. Coen brothers don't have much to do with this series, I believe they are just executive producers.
  2. The mets aren't going to break up that rotation anytime soon, and if they were it would be for a guy who projects to be a 2 or 3 like Berrios or an average CF like hicks. If you want any of those young pitchers the offer needs to start with Sano or Buxton.
  3. Sano should be playing 3B until he can't play 3B any more. Moving Sano to the OF to accommodate a decidedly average player like Plouffe is ludicrous. Of course moving Plouffe and then using that open roster spot to sign a big hitter requires a bit of creativity, not this orgs MO unfortunately.
  4. Much ado about nothing.
  5. I don't see why people are against this move, Robinson is a perfectly capable 4th OF.
  6. Desmond make sense, but only if you end up trading Dozier to the Yankees for Sanchez and an arm.
  7. good base running? Debatable, I think it was since Wright sort of lobbed it over to first base. Ballsy base running? Absolutely.
  8. Good for the Royals! Well earned title.
  9. Never should have fielded it to begin with, also you can look him back a tick longer etc. 90% blame on Duda 10% on Wright.
  10. Also I think the element of surprise had a LOT to do with it. Nobody, and I mean nobody would have predicted that Hosmer broke for home in that situation.
  11. Agree to disagree I suppose, besides these are all hypothetical numbers anyways. I think the slide+tag adds into the whole thing (vs a force play). Even if he makes a decent throw but a little high and towards 1st base, Hosmer has a good shot to beat it with a good slide.
  12. 99 out of 100? Nah, even a "good" throw it can end up a bang bang play because of the tag and slide. I say with an average throw Hosmer still has a 40% shot. Great throw nails him dead to rights etc, with that said, that is what you can do when you are up three games to one.
  13. Should be an error on Duda, but Wright totally screwed that up as well. Jack Morris >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Harvey
  14. I was wrong earlier about Gibson, he is way too much. I wonder if the Yankees would be interested in Milone and perhaps paying a little bit of Tex's salary? Of course I only want Tex if the Twins can find a way to move Plouffe. 31 HR in 112 games is nothing to shake your head at IMO, Tex could be the perfect "buy low" type, and if he has a good year you end up netting an additional first round pick after the year anyways. Sano 3B Mauer 1B Tex DH (he and mauer can split 1B if need be)
  15. Meh, fine. Gibson off the table and some 8-15 prospect on the table? Make no mistake Tex can still hit
  16. Plouffe traded, Sano to 3b, Mauer to DH?
  17. it's so weird and unexpected when average players at best come back to earth.... Royals are gonna finish it off tomorrow.
  18. What the **** was that ending?
  19. *nordstrom not Macy's Have now seen it 8 times in last 15 minutes. Annoying to click out of as well...
  20. You currently have full page Macy's mobile pop up ads that appear on every mobile visit to Twins daily in between clicks. Annoying ads, can you at least see if they can limit it to 1/24 hours or 3/24 hours per user?
  21. Big Tex is in the last year of an 8 year deal, though he had injury issues last season he posted some great numbers and still plays great D. NY has Greg Bird in the wings (no pun intended) and is ready to go. Plus with ARod and others they have DH filled as well, Big Tex likely isn't going to be resigned by the Yanks, so perhaps he is on the block. You can have him play 1B and DH basically swapping with Mauer on a daily basis. Instantly legitimizes the entire offense Would you give up Gibson and a decent prospect for him? I would.
  22. the Yankees have been holding onto top prospects much more as of late, the price of Sanchez would likely be too high (Berrios) for the deal to happen this off season. Yanks are in no rush to get rid of him anyways.
  23. I would take Ramos in a heartbeat, Suzuki instantly becomes a backup in that scenario which is fine by me (no 50/50 split) Not sure who the twins have of value to the Nationals though. That is the problem as both teams should be "going for it" in 2016 Milone would make sense but I'm guessing that's not enough, and they might not have room for him in the rotation anyways
  24. ha, I mean, I never went to UM or have any family who did either, I will "root" for them but don't really care when they inevitably fail. I have been a Nebraska fan my whole life and an OU fan since 2003 when I went to college there, perhaps it's not coincidence that they are 0-3 in national championships since I became a fan of them (I was at all three, yuck)
  25. Kepler is untouchable yet Berrios isn't? Gibson isn't worth Lucroy straight up? Sorry I disagree heavily with both of those statements.
