  1. Ah, that is a good point, technically you "can't" but places like Bovada etc list the odds and allow anyone to essentially bet. As of now, Trump is sitting 1:3 or very close across the board ($300 to win $100) Cruz is sitting 4:1 ($100 to win $400) Trump is still very much the "favorite" where it really counts/experts etc Paul Ryan at 22:1 would be my "darkhorse" though he is awful as well. But $22:1 is pretty good odds.
  2. As an addition: Santana is a big reason why I don't understand why the Twins kept Nunez around, to their credit they did keep Santana around as well, but we already know that Nunez absolutely can't handle SS, he likely can't handle 2B at this stage, which makes him a weird bench guy since his bat isn't that great as well. They aren't paying him a lot, but I hope the Twins have a quick leash on Nunez who essentially is a sub .700 OPS hitter who really doesn't play any position well enough on D to legitimize him being on a playoff caliber team at this stage (or at least one with the talent of the Twins in the INF) I just don't see the role Nunez fits at this stage. MI replacement for a players day off/injury: Santana is better/more upside OF replacement: Santana is better/more upside PH: Better off with a pure PH like Quentin I guess, but you also already have Arcia as your everyday PH anyways.
  3. I think Santana is the Twins "surprise" player of the year. He has too much raw talent to not work out eventually as an everyday MI or a rich man's Nick Punto style Util INF.
  4. I think best case scenario is that Polanco continues to play well and Escobar has another solid but not great season. Allowing the Twins to trade off Escobar as an "average" MLB SS and thus give Polanco the SS position. Escobar should be able to bring back a solid return in that scenario. 3-4 years down the road Dozier is most likely gone, you move Polanco to 2B and Gordon is your SS.
  5. Couple things: I like the Twins in the under dog role. I think they have a real good shot at a WC spot, but I can't see how anyone can say they are "ahead" of the Royals at this stage, I mean they made the WS the past two years and won it last year, and really return most of the main core that took them there. I'm surprised that many people are picking the Twins to finish 5th though. The White Sox are an absolute mess all over the place. The Twins look better than them on paper no doubt. Cleveland and Detroit? I can see the argument either way between all three teams with an ever so slight edge to Detroit.
  6. What do you mean by "lobbies"?
  7. The comic book/super hero genre is getting beaten into the ground, this was bound to happen but we are starting to see quantity trump quality at this stage. It's kind of annoying to be honest, we are probably missing out on some more interesting flicks because the big boys are just going to keep tossing out comic book movie after comic book movie.
  8. What on earth is that? Again, i will take Vegas numbers over some random website numbers anyday.
  9. But it's a really weird conclusion to make in the first place. Again, if Sano is struggling then by all means try come up with these ideas, but at this stage Sano has done nothing but been the one of the most dynamic rookie seasons the Twins have ever had.
  10. Boston is starting a career .687 OPS minor leaguer at 3rd base to start the season, perhaps they would be interested in Plouffe in a couple months? Someone else will inevitably get hurt/be ineffective at the hot corner anyways.
  11. I think Rosario ends up being an enticing trade piece when it's all said and done. He can play an above average CF and will hit quite well for that position as well. If Kepler emerges then suddenly Rosario becomes pretty expendable IMO even more so if Arcia gets back on track. Rosario could bring back a nice high upside Sp potentially as well (or a good catcher)
  12. Good article on above: http://gawker.com/the-only-thing-worse-than-nominating-trump-would-be-ste-1768018700
  13. Vegas has the money on Trump, and I think for good reason. If Trump goes into the convention with the most delegates, and more importantly significantly more "votes" then the other candidates, I don't see how you can "steal" the nomination from him and effectively keep the party together. If they do steal it, then Trump goes scorched earth, runs third party (splits the GOP as a whole) and not only gives the Dems a landslide in the POTUS race, but could tip the scales in several house/senate seats as well.
  14. Montero weighed 235. Keep in mind there are plenty of "top prospects" who have failed to live up to expectations, this literally happens every year, so it's a bit fool hardy to draw a comparison here and claim Montero "failed" because of his weight. Of course the Blue Jays just picked up Montero which means he will probably hit 30 HR and drive in 100 RBI this year. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  15. I'd suggest that perhaps his replacement level play in 2015 may have something to do with him losing his starting gig...
  16. Yeah, it's crazy to think that Sano is still 5-6 years away from his "peak"
  17. Yeah, same here. I have always thought that Superman is a pretty boring character anyways, so the fact that this movie actually humanized him a little bit was a big plus in my eyes.
  18. Ballplayer Peletoro (spelling?) is another good one to watch. Also to a comment I saw above about (it's easy for a 270 lb athlete to lose 20 pounds) I don't think that's accurate since all bodies all completely different, especially those of a 22 year old who may not be done growing.
  19. I would personally rather get rid of Fien then Tonkin.
  20. I'm not sure two women are electable on a ticket in 2016, I already see a lot of sexism with a lot of the Hilary criticism already. Warren also is no spring chicken herself, Hilary needs to pick a young up and comer that would be a great potential choice for 2024. Fresh blood is sorely needed IMO
  21. I don't see any reason why Lavine and Hield can't be on the floor at the same time for a few minutes here and there (when Wiggins is resting for instance) Yeah, the lineup becomes small at that stage, but I frankly think the Wolves could just outscore teams enough at that point to make it worth it. 30 min Lavine 30 min Wiggins 20-25 min Hield I don't see how that doesn't work?
  22. I can't see Arcia taking at bats away from Mauer. For one thing, i think Mauer outperforms him significantly. I think Mauer has a nice bounce back year ahead of him. If Park, Buxton, Arcia, Rosario are all hitting well, then the easiest and best solution is to trade Plouffe, slide Sano into 3rd base and keep Mauer/Park as your 1B/DH combo.
  23. Deadwood
  24. Somewhat unrelated: The actress who plays Wonder Woman is an absolute smoke show. I guess that part helped distract me a bit from the pacing.
  25. You shouldn't "steal" or pirate, that is wrong. Instead of going for a free illegal stream, why not just pay for MLB.TV and use a VPN in that case? Or just spend the money on a cable package? I don't understand why people suddenly think it is there right to pay nothing and get everything for free. Piracy effects peoples jobs and only ends up punishing those of us who play by the rules (higher fees, etc) Frankly I think everyone who pirates any form of video/gaming/etc should be caught and fined a minimum of $5,000
