  1. Uh oh, apparently it's about to come out that Ted Cruz has had at least 5 extramarital affairs. Now personally, I could care less who is banging who in Washington, but I don't think this is going to go over well with his "Christian values" crowd. Also, I am shocked that there are 6 women in this world who would actually sleep with Ted Cruz. Gross.
  2. Hilary is winning the popular vote thus far against Bernie, thus she has more delegates. I don't see how the "people" don't have the "voice" in this situation. The Super Delegate thing seems like a fail safe in case something crazy happens. I also don't like how the primaries are spread out so far, I think they should all be held on the same day. After that you can hold a second set a month later once the field is narrowed down.
  3. Few things: He doesn't have a close to a realistic path to get more pledged delegates then Hillary at this time. Him closing those tax loopholes from businesses routing things through the Cayman Islands will only result in a lot of those companies moving off US soil, no? That all sounds fine in theory, but it's not going to happen. Also, raising taxes on everyone basically is not a winning strategy. It's going to impact small businesses owners quite a bit. And sending everyone to college for free is simply going to make a work force that isn't cut my out to handle any blue collar jobs. Yes some polls have him doing well v Trump, but those polls are done so early in the game that a ton changes and those cant be counted on (fivethirtyeight touches on that quite a bit)
  4. I guess I don't understand why Suzuki is still even on the roster. Why not just give Murphy the starting job (4-5 games a week) and back him up with Hicks (who can't hit, but is solid defensively) I'm sure they could at least get a PTNBL back for Suzuki, no?
  5. I think most non Twins fans already view it as a steal. As of now they traded a back up catcher for a guy who has gold glove and 20/20 type potential at CF. If Hicks turns into what he potentially can, this trade ends up as a disaster.
  6. Yeah, basically at this point if Trump has the most delegates heading into the convention and somehow gets screwed out of the nomination, he will go scorched earth, run independent and destroy the GOP's chances (though they are pretty small to begin with) and frankly, I couldn't blame him one bit. The guy is a complete jackass (is it ok if I call him a name?) but he is getting the most votes/delegates.
  7. Yup, that whole reddit subreddit is HUGE, and go check out the top story now: "Clinton ordered voter fraud in Arizona to win" Seriously, this is what Bernie Sanders supporters are now grasping to, that Bernie only lost Arizona because Hilary Clinton somehow was able to keep a bunch of white college age kids from being able to vote for Bernie....it's preposterous! Now not all Bernie fans are delusional and think he can win, that would be silly, but I would wager that over 70% of his current supporters are drinking the kool-aid that he still has a real shot to win. At some point I hope he has the moral obligation to drop out and stop taking these susceptible people's money.
  8. But the majority of them really dont! That is because Sanders keeps telling them that he WILL win. Most of these are young college students or previous non voters who have no real grasp on how this whole thing works.
  9. Yeah, I think Trump will be close, but will fall just short. Him getting killed in Utah hurts his chances at getting the total delegate count he needed.
  10. Not sure how she has the budget when she is clearly funding the Trump's (who is a democrat) campaign
  11. Bernie isn't a democrat though.
  12. In that scenario Biden hopes in and likely wins the nomination. The dems can't put Bernie up, because there is a very good chance he would lose the GE.
  13. I would say that if you are running for POTUS winning the nomination actually does matter. As far as this "helping Hilary bit" I don't see it. If you really wanted to "help" Hilary then Bernie should step down and through his support behind her, spend the next couple months "easing" the tensions between his supporters and her. There would be plenty of media coverage of Clinton moving forward anyways, all of her speeches, interviews, and she would be able to turn her attention to Trump/Cruz/Whoever moving forward as well. Also the VP selection process keeps her in the media as well. In the era of 24/7 news coverage, Hilary and her coverage is going NOWHERE.
  14. Apple Brandy to Orange Soda comparison there buddy. As mentioned previously, the GOP convention will be open/contested.
  15. That is my main issue, he is promising a literal impossible utopia that has no chance to happen in 2016 America. He is a good man, unlike Trump, but Trump is basically doing the same thing: "I will lower taxes!" "I will defeat ISIS!" "I will get you all jobs!" "I will build a wall!" "I will make the best deals!" While providing no real substance or Nuance. It's the same as "You will have free college!" "I will get you out of your student loan OBLIGATIONS!" "Free health care for all!" "No more wars, ever!" Bernie just has his heart in the right place.
  16. Dude, baring a significant health issue from Hilary, Bernie CAN NOT win. Thus the simpsons gif. He can't win, it can't happen, there is literally no path to the nomination for him at this stage. Kasich/Cruz on the other hand have a shot because the GOP convention will be open/contested. There is no shame in bowing out when you know you can't win, Bernie should take the opportunity now to stop accepting donations from people who really, really shouldn't be spending the money on a campaign that he can not win. Use the rest of the money to hold a couple more interviews/rallies etc and call it a day. The problem is the longer he stays in, the longer the impressionable/first time/young voters will continue to pump money into a lost cause. Or he should implore his followers to donate that money/time and effort to a local charity/soup kitchen etc which would surely "help" the disenfranchised significantly more than dumping money into a lost cause. 17. "It's just a little airborne! It's still good! It's still good!"
  18. Exactly. This is why Bloomberg was thinking of running if Sanders and Trump were going to win the nomination. At that point it essentially would have been: Independent v Independent v Independent
  19. Actually the "base" has been just fine, which is why Hilary has been and continued to be a lock to win the nomination. Bernie has successfully tapped into the lazy and irresponsible group of millennials who want everything handed to them, don't want to be held accountable (take my student loans away please!) and want to live in a fictional utopia where hard work doesn't matter.
  20. People need to stop crying about wealth disparity and start doing something about it. Sanders offers no real plausible solutions, it's all just: "Let's take on the banks!" ok, how? "Let's get rid of student loans?" Ok? How? "Free college for all!" Ok? How? "Free Healthcare for all!" Ok? How? Sanders has accomplished NIL in the senate. And has accomplished NIL in his "campaign"
  21. Yeah, and chances are he will give Hilary his support eventually anyways.
  22. Currently Bernie bros HATE Clinton, since she is the one thing standing in his way currently. Once he bows out that 7-10% number will more or less disappear once they actually start focusing on Trump (instead of Hilary)
  23. Meh, I think the biggest chumps on this planet are people who donate to campaigns (unless they are able to donate enough where they can call in a favor etc)
  24. He is still claiming that his average donation is somewhere around $37 It's not $20 donations from college kids either that is the problem, its when they are maxing out credit cards and using their tuition/savings to donate $5,000-$10,000 to his sunk campaign.
