  1. NYC It's not right at 50% but it's pretty damn close.
  2. There is a HUGE difference, those guys aren't already signed to a high paying guaranteed deal the upcoming season. He literally left $13 million on the table. That's weird. That's like 20% of his entire net worth/career earnings. Again, that's weird, something is up/fishy. It's not like broken down Radke or Chipper was going to get any sort of big payday (and it's not like it was already guaranteed to begin with to boot)
  3. This seems like a no brainer to me as a choice. How can the senate literally come up with a reason for confirming him to a high court 3 years ago 97-0, but not now?
  4. If Trump and Hill didn't dominate tonight I think this would be an interesting story to talk about, but the reality is that they both won big time, and clinched the nom (or at least in Trumps case the clear choice nom until they have the convention which gets ugly quick)
  5. A decent investment is something that pays off at least a little as time goes on. A good investment is something that continues to grow, a horrible investment is something that literally loses all it's money/funding etc as it continues to grow. They could have slowed the bleeding/fixed things a little anytime since the baby boomers were born and it was literally impossible for the program to continue to be sustainable as is. But of course they didn't, and it has become the ****show it now is. Me paying the max in SS taxes each year($7,500 -14,000 a year when I am technically self employed or running my own biz 2011-2013 and 2016) is a HORRIBLE investment when I will literally see next to ZERO of that money ever again. How is that not a ****ty investment? If I took $7,500 a year and put it in even the most conservative guaranteed growing investments, I would have an additional 750k+ in 40 years, and that is worst case scenario!!!!! More than likely that number becomes 1 to 2 million depending on how its invested. Think I will or anyone in my generation will see that in SS? lol. not a chance!
  6. Why does he have to sell out Nacho at this stage? As far as Tuco and Uncle are concerned Mike is just an old retired ex cop. Mike figures as long as Tuco gets 1-2 years in jail that should give Nacho enough time to build up etc and enough time for Tuco to get off the meth and maybe come out less crazy. Either way he got the original job down for Nacho.
  7. Social Security is one of the worst overall investments this country has made, anyone with half a brain could tell the system wasn't sustainable and more or less ended up being a pseudo pyramid/ponsi scheme anyways that us younger folk are now stuck with. Even with it being completely unsustainable the govt shouldn't have spent the early returns/surplus. They should have put it in a safe overall investment to at least try to stave off the inevitable collapse we are now faced with moving forward.
  8. Or when a player is more or less forced/blackmailed/does it to get rid of a potential scandal/suspension. Not saying that is the case here...but there is a reason why it has only happened once recently in Meche. (Nishi doesn't count)
  9. Yeah....... color me skeptical, PED suspension coming down and he agrees to do this to save face? Some other scandal? Unrelated baseball injury? etc? Just color me skeptical.....
  10. Privatizing social security to begin with, or even 15-20 years ago could have completely prevented the mess it is in moving forward. Apples to Oranges....again. Also you should encourage investing into the market overall for EVERYONE, the rich and the poor. The rich shouldn't get penalized for investing some of their legally earned money (intelligently) Talk all you want about job creation, pumping money into public companies helps keep jobs and prevent massive layoffs as well.
  11. He is desperate for the money now to help support his daughter in law and grandchild, this is ultimately what turns him "bad" overall moving forward. I would guess he goes back to Tio Salamanca and demands a lot more than 25k. Tuco gets out of jail in a year or two and things move forward etc etc.
  12. But they really aren't. Too many people are going to private or out of state universities to get worthless degrees, while racking up 100k+ in student loans, and then refusing to ever get a real world job to pay those off because "it doesn't fit my ideal/perfect world job" As of today there are PLENTY of low cost higher education options, they are called trade schools and community colleges, you know, places that are affordable for all (you can easily work and goto CC or a trade school at the same time) while they teach you an actual valuable skill or two to make a legit living.
  13. Not only is that not interesting, that isn't the case at all in the majority of cases of people who went to college in the 21st century. Unless you are 45+ and suddenly changing industry's etc, but that is what happens as things/industry's/economies continue to evolve.
  14. Cali and NY are the two most diverse states in the country, Clinton wins those both easily. Trump is interesting, he prob wins NY because of all the upstate Yokels, Cali could be interesting if it's Trump vs Kasich. Or trump vs Cruz.
  15. Secretly I think trump wants a convention where he is screwed out of the Nom. He can run as an independent and Hillary wins in a landslide, he can then basically brag/talk about how he cost the GOP the nomination single handedly (not that it would be true) but it gets him all sorts of TV shows, books, etc and sets him up for this madness in another 4 years as well. Basically he goes down as the ultimate troll.
  16. Well said. All it will lead to is more worthless degrees and entitled 22-26 year olds who think they are too good for 95% of the jobs available to them. If you want free college, move to Canada and get good grades. If you want free college in America: get even better grades. Or suck it up, take out some loans and be an adult.(you can definitely work at the same time to take some of the amount owed off as well)
  17. But Bernie wants to increase taxes paid by businesses (big and small).....
  18. he is proposing tax hikes on businesses/payroll taxes as well. I already pay 50% of my pay check to taxes, I don't need that to jump up to 60% because some life long hippie who has never worked a real job in his life and has coasted along in Govt says we need to raise it just to piss it away for a bunch of programs with no nuance or substance to it.
  19. define "educated" If you mean people with a college degree or higher, then no, in fact he isn't, Hillary is up with that demographic with 59%
  20. Bernie needs to be a honorable human and bow out now. Stop taking money from folks for a wasted campaign. Hillary 2016!
  21. The costs are out of control I agree. The solution isn't to make everything free though. Nuance...nuance. People are still making the case for Bernie for prez, but he can't win any vote besides young white males. Yes of course some other people in other demos vote for him, but that is irrelevant since Hillary carries those demos so much more. I still maintain that Bernie in fact would make a terrible POTUS, would accomplish nothing in his four years and would get blown out in the reelection bid (the Democratic Party would suffer immensly)
  22. Also one factor that is hurting Hilary a bit is sexism. I think you still have a decent chunk of the MALE population who secretly don't want a woman in charge of the country (on in their professional careers etc) if Bernie was running against Biden or Obama he wouldn't win any state besides Vermont, NH, Oregon and Washington. I think it's taking some people longer then others to come around to a female president and that is kinda sad. Hopefully Bernie does the right thing, drops out in a few weeks and fully endorsed hilary.
  23.  My point is it's an apples and oranges comparison. I say that Bernie has no path to the nomination, you disagree. I say that Bernie is only winning the white male (young white male) demographic, people cry out "that's not true" but haven't put forth any additional demo that Bernie beats Hilary in other than "Super liberal people" Is he winning with: A35+? No A50+? No Women? No Women 35+? No Women 50+? No Hispanics? No Hispanics 35+? No Hispanics 50+? No etc etc etc Sorry man, just calling it like it is, big ideas and big speeches are nice, but facts are facts. Bernie can't win.
  24. I'm shocked it has taken this long, however unless they actually dig up some info that will tank his chances (it would have to be a major scandal) it just makes Trump look more and more like a victim to his zombie supporters.
  25. Good episode, very lawyery at times but I liked it, and it came off as pretty realistic on how stuff goes down at a law firm. Chuck is such a dick, the opening scene was very telling as well, Chuck is absolutely jealous of Jimmy and his charisma. I have a feeling that the "stealing from the family" story isn't the full truth either. Jimmy is a schemer, but by all accounts he is extremely loyal to his friends and family (which actually leads to his ultimate downfall) I can't see him stealing from his own father.
