Punto is a rocketpig (GOD) around these parts! Love the interview so far!

Pretty sure Mejia is on the roster just in case Santana gets hurt or melts down early. Need a guy who can go 3+ innings if need be (other than Berrios)

11 pitchers seems like overkill. I would have had Sano on the bench just in case. I'd rather have him as a PH then Vargas, Garver etc

Not sure if it's still even around, but try to get happy hour at the noisy oyster downtown. $1.99 dozen oysters, $1.99 beers, $1.99 shrimp cocktails

Yeah, Stan's will be packed to the gills.

Bash LGA all you want, but terminal C is still fine! Also it's closer to the bronx then JFK Either way, safe travels! I reserved a couple tables at Bronx Draft house starting at 5pm. Feel free to drop by, ask for David W (or PM for my last name) It's probably the best bet as it is pretty close to the stadium, has decent beer and is probably the one place that will actually be taking the reservation. (Let's just hope they honor it now!)

Don't let this distract you from the real reason for this thread: Will Jamie Garcia also get a ring?

Nice, I will call them tomorrow and see if we can reserve some space. We have quite a few coming from the NYC Minnesota fan group as well. Hopefully can reserve a few tables to for at least 20 or so to post up in. Also when are you/others getting into town? If enough out of town Twins fans are in town Monday, I'd recommend catching some MNF at http://www.foleysny.com/ Basically baseball heaven, and a menu that features not only a Jucy Lucy, but an Aaron Hicks heater burger as well Of course if anyone is in town and staying on the cool side of river (brooklyn) there are plenty of spots as well.

Question: if the Twins win a title this year, he should get a ring, right?
  16. DaveW
Siegers is a guy you need in the org, I know we scoff at Scott Diamonds etc from time to time but as we see every year, you can't have enough pitchers. Siegers more than likely will never be a mainstay in the Twins rotation, but should find himself contributing a few starts here and there over the next couple years I imagine.

Very real chance that Perkins pitched his last game tonight, not just for the Twins but in pro baseball. Class act, all the way,one of my favorite Twins players and one of the best closers in a franchise that has had a lot of good ones. It shows a lot of guts, drive and heart for him to work his way back this year, even if the results were less than stellar, I have to think him being even in the pen had to have been a great thing for a bullpen full of youngsters. Started as a starter, and turned into an elite closer for many years, always great with the fans and always seemed to give it his all. Thanks for the memories and thanks for always battling your tail off Glen! Looking fwd to his Twins hall of fame induction!

Yeah, loved seeing Perkins getting that final out, one of my all time favorite twins. Selfishly I would love to see him on the roster next year, but sounds like he is at peace. Thanks for the memories Perk!!!! Hopefully the Twins win it all and give him a ring!

It's been a fun year! Haven't been able to be involved in too many game threads, and typically keep my posting to hot sports opinions new threads, but I have lurked in many of these, thanks to all the people who have put these on and the posters who have been entertaining in them! Go Twins!

I'd still trade one of Rosario/Kepler for young pitching help #2 type. Sign JD Martínez

Two best cities in the world!

Didn't see the game tonight, saw he had one at bat, no strike out...that's good right? How did he look in at bat? What happened? Timing? Running out of box? Etc? I gotta know!

Frankie Rodriguez, who also owned one of the most odd bars in NYC for quite some time.

Except for mine of course Also was the only person who had faith that year they were down 3 with 4 to play and called my shot Pretty sure Stat was supposed to leave for life after that!
