  1. Since I am going to Trenton to see NB play on 7/30, I would guess right after that. Seriously though, I would love to see both BB and Polanco promoted, just so I could see them. While I'm being greedy, I hope Berrios pitches that game!
  2. 12 hours into international free agency and I hear the MNTwins have agreements with 6 pitchers, 2 outfielders, 1 infielder, and 1 catcher. Darren Wolfson (@DarrenWolfson)
  3. Twins sign OF Jean Carlos Arias - $450,000 http://dplbaseball.com/scouts-corner/jean-carlos-arias-of-2014/
  4. I saw a tweet a day or two ago that Max Murphy signed for $130,000. I wrote it down but didn't save the source though.
  5. That means they can discuss trades with any team - correct?
  6. Can you give an example of what you mean with this?
  7. I assume Gonsalves will spend most of next season as a starter?
  8. And that's what makes a market! And I agree on Wimmers
  9. Swear to God I expect one of the usual suspects to bitch that they didn't get enough for Butera. My head will explode.
  10. Rather the re-hashing the second-guessing of prior drafts I have a question about the 2014 draft. I am led to believe that it is a deeper draft than 2013 but it seems to me (amateur of amateurs that I am) that with the exception of Rodon it is light at the top in College LHP. Can someone set me straight on this or provide other names at the top of this category? Many thanks in advance
  11. Most likely to pass waivers and be traded in August - Willingham?
  12. No matter what "JR" does, the usual suspects will complain. If he makes trades the moaning will be that he didn't get enough in return. If no trades are made, the moaning will be he doesn't care. Anyone see the trend?
  13. The Twins are horrible - they are way too conservative with how they treat their minor leaguers and . . . oh, wait. The other kid hasn't even pitched yet? The Twins are horrible - they're gonna blow Stewart's arm out.
  14. If young Sr. Sano has enough swagger to pimp a meaningless HR, you would have to assume he also has the intestinal fortitude to not let a benching "destroy his spirit". Maybe I'm missing something (I usually am here).
  15. Thank goodness someone said something intelligent early on in this thread and took away the momentum. It kept the usual suspects from chiming in.
  16. JC I'd "like" your last post but I fear someone on my iggy list may pitch a fit over it.
  17. Gee - the usual suspects on both sides taking their arguments to the extremes. How refreshing!
  18. The thing that pleased me was that none of the top prospects really underperformed expectations
  19. Looks like he hit 2 HR today (through 7 innings) against the always-tough GCL Rays.
  20. I'm not certain I understand what is "sad" about different people enjoying the ballpark experience differently that you or I would. Personal differences are what makes life interesting. It's why Baskin Robbins has more than one flavor, it's why one highly skilled investor will buy a stock at a price when another highly skilled investor wants to sell it, and its why one beautiful woman will want to marry me when most of the others chase me with pitchforks and torches. God, if everyone else thought and behaved like me I'd probably want to shoot myself.
  21. I think he means more than he would have gotten had he been drafted where he belonged, but still less than the slot of where he was actually drafted. (Not sure if I explained that well)
