  1. Singer replaced by lefty Lynch IntraVenous as KC starter.
  2. What are the chances the Twins (and other teams) have been instructed by the league office to keep mum?
  3. Not looking good for the home team.
  4. 3 pitch strikeouts are really nice.
  5. Here’s my take. There’s an old aphorism in sports that goes something like ‘the best ability is availability.’ The tandem of Jeffers and Vazquez has been available whenever the bell is rung. This has value. And not just in dollars.
  6. Basically, a Jason Castro clone would be ideal.
  7. I’d hire Joe Mauer as a special consultant to work with Eddie, mostly on developing a good two-strike approach. He’s got to learn to foul off those close pitches he’s been taking for called third strikes.
  8. Supposed to be ending between 1 and 2. So maybe a short delay at most.
  9. Right-hander Gerson Garabito called up and making MLB debut for the Rangers. Twins using lefty lineup, although notably Julien is bumped down to batting eighth.
  10. He who lives by the sausage shall die by the sausage.
  11. In unrelated but at least more encouraging health new, Lee and Jenkins are starting rehab assignments.
  12. Anybody know if Buxton was on the plane? Also, I see this is one of the Apple TV games. I might even get to watch it.
  13. I assume it is similar to what, my day, we would call ‘dealing,’ as in “Johan was dealing” when he pitched a shutout with a lot of K’s.
  14. So maybe they spent more dough in the off-season. What difference would that have actually made?
  15. I’d venture the root cause of this is when the regulations set up the cable monopolies in the first place. Bad, bad, idea.
  16. I’m sure most would rather see Margot out when Buxton returns. I think Martin would benefit from playing every day in St. Paul, and that’s what I expect to happen.
  17. That’s why you get a lot of them. Some will fare better than others at different points of the season.
