Watching it certainly made me think of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

College sports exploits unpaid black athletes
Craig Arko replied to gunnarthor's topic in The Sports Bar
College sports exploit all the other tuition and fees paying students, and that's the part that really chaps my ass. -
"They (Eagles) played like they were wearing tutus." This, if true, would be an amazing compliment. http://www.newsweek.com/pennsylvania-ballet-reacts-comment-philadelphia-eagles-fan-411548

Finally bought this and watched it last week, A) It was really good. The book was even better. I'd have a hard time thinking of as better choice for Watney than Damon was. Just the right level of smart-ass.

The novelization (by Alan Dean Foster) has more details on a number of things. http://mashable.com/2015/12/29/force-awakens-novel/#UGmz0TRryPqn I'll be buying this to read on the plane, I think.

Nope. Was also hoping for Darth Binks.

Some photos are out now for Daredevil season 2, and it also looks pretty good. Jon Bernthal as The Punisher and Elodie Yung as Elektra should really step it up another notch. It's unclear yet if Fisk will return in this season. http://screenrant.com/daredevil-season-2-images-murdock-castle-punisher

Everything politics aside; this gives me some enthusiasm for the future of America. So many times, it's the smart people who are not politicians who can lead us out of a hole. http://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2015/12/22/460668595/watch-spacex-celebrates-a-spectacular-accomplishment

"Hurricane ChiTown is really getting after it." -
It would not horribly surprise me to see some future season of Agent Carter and the forthcoming Marvel's Most Wanted also transition to Netflix. Maybe Agents of Shield too once it completes Season 4 (in 3 now) to get to the 88 episode mark that syndication prefers.

Luke Cage. Also Daredevil Season 2. Maybe Iron Fist towards the end of the year, but probably 2017 for that.

I wonder who will be the future Edward Gibbon for the USA. No other path seems likely.

So make a plan, plan turns to rubbish, make another plan. We saw it today with the two younger (20s) nephews. Very much Star Wars, and also very much JJ Abrams.

I just have to say I think this in just about all the baseball threads I read. I've just learned not to say so any more.

You left out the asteroid.

Probably not until early January. While we are at Disney. So I'll be ignoring this thread until then.

Twins Announce New Safety Plans at Target Field
Craig Arko replied to Seth Stohs's topic in Minnesota Twins Talk
Sounds like I should retain counsel before attending a game. -
Another modest proposal...
Craig Arko replied to formerly33's topic in Twins Daily Issues & Suggestions

I'm a lumberjack. And that's okay.
