  1. I'll go with this instead. Seems like more thought behind it. http://www.rawstory.com/2015/11/dalai-lama-stop-praying-for-paris-humans-created-this-problem-and-humans-must-solve-it/
  2. BBC World News opened its broadcast about the massacre by announcing, soberly, that it was "just another day in the United States of America: another day of gunfire, panic and fear." The land of the free; the home of the brave. Where are you now? We could use your help.
  3. Of course it's not like this is an isolated incident. http://m.mic.com/articles/129329/a-former-planned-parenthood-employee-tweeted-this-list-of-acts-of-terrorism-she-survived#.ujqvofP5i
  4. I pretty much follow the BBC and AP these days.
  5. Oooh, food word problems. Solve for X.
  6. The day is still young.
  7. Agreed, and I think we're good. You aren't on ignore.
  8. This discussion might be more useful if people stop trying to dictate the parameters for it. Otherwise it's just naval-gazing.
  9. Some days, I really just want to root for the asteroid.
  10. Chocolate Moose?
  11. I wonder how much of this is driven by the team and league PR departments. For myself, I don't care much one way or the other. I figure none of them will be attending my retirement shebang.
  12. Just as many of us have suspected. Thanks, Senators McCain and Flake. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/14173360/mlbs-nfl-paid-showings-patriotism-cost-fans-more-ways-one
  13. This should be every day.
  14. Indeed, now the focus has gone from being Black to being Muslim. The face of The Other may change, but they're still there and still treated with bigotry.
  15. I've already mentioned Tyson-Nye as my preferred ticket. A close second would be Stewart-Colbert.
  16. The situation in Minneapolis is pretty bad, too.
  17. Fire the anchovies? And yes, every day is sushi day. I've had it for Thanksgiving, and for Christmas.
  18. When is national sushi and sashimi day?
  19. One character who might get overlooked, at least early on, but turns out to be really excellent is Malcolm. Pay attention to his development. I think he'll play a key part in season 2.
  20. Almost to the end; but no spoilers yet. Just two things; Krysten Ritter absolutely owns this role, and David Tennant knocks off Tom Hiddleston as the top villain in the MCU. Ok, one more, dig the opening titles. http://youtu.be/wlrxeBJ3KY8
  21. I'm really only willing to buy into one race. For the heck of it, let's call it 'human.'
  22. People who value honesty?
  23. So either Cleveland or Seattle for the Pub Crawl?
  24. If that was peanut brittle instead, I'm in.
  25. A glass of mead to go with it? Oh, I suppose a spoon would be useful.
