  1. I'll see if the dogs can provide something.
  2. Pickled ginger and wasabi. Perhaps a little seaweed.
  3. You are such a bad hombre.
  4. Hopefully not Edwin Abbott.
  5. Consider the proximity of the San Andreas fault.
  6. I actually prefer HarMar. This may explain my feelings towards LA.
  7. Bert just confessed pitchers are not the best athletes on the field. The End is nigh.
  8. “There is a saying in Tibetan, 'Tragedy should be utilized as a source of strength.' No matter what sort of difficulties, how painful experience is, if we lose our hope, that's our real disaster.” -- Dalai Lama
  9. I found a service that has Babylon 5 and Fringe freely streaming. I'm booked for the summer.
  10. Home. Road.
  11. Thanks for the tip on Clifford Brown. Sounds like I'll be adding to the collection.
  12. A rich guy who gets it. http://money.cnn.com/2017/06/02/news/michael-bloomberg-trump-paris-climate/index.html
  13. The arrival of the A.I. Singularity may just take care of that.
  14. I often use the word 'gullible' to describe what you said there. Although I admit sometimes I mean 'chump.'
  15. My brother went to Grad school there. Don't recall him saying much about the winters. This was maybe a few years before you were there.
  16. This was in 1979. I lived in West Hollywood for a bit and then on Pico and Crenshaw for about 7 months while I took the bus into Hollywood to study at the Hollywood Magic shop. That doesn't exist anymore, I'm told. A guy was murdered right outside the place I was living at; drug deal gone bad is my understanding. I don't actually hate LA, it just pales next to San Francisco, Sacramento, and Long Beach in my memories.
  17. I hear Paris (not Texas) is lovely this time of year.
  18. I get doughnuts from Cub. Good enough for me.
  19. That brown LA haze... The Magic Castle and Griffith Observatory were fun.
