    Perhaps when we check back in six weeks, we will see different odds again. I mean, I'm happy to see all the recent success, but IMO we're still in small sample size territory. Cautiously optimistic we're seeing real trends of our players improving, though.

    Stats are useful, of course, but early in the season I thought Reed had good movement on his pitches. By the time his stats had gone bad, his pitches were either straight or else not for strikes. That's my subjective recollection. I assume that "something" happened, whether or not he immediately went on the DL* right away. * I know it's IL now. It's 2018 I'm talking about.
